Water lilies need more than 4 hours a day of sunshine to flower.
Tropical lilies need full sun all day.
Keep lilies away from moving or flowing water. Away from pump or filter.
Frequently fertilize a water lily once a month depending on the fertilizer type and the size of your container.
No Pond No problem! Water lilies are thriving in a container.
Here are few tips to grow.
Water lilies are perennial plants that shoot in spring, flowering late spring until fall and going dormant in Winter.
Most water lilies will grow with 30-60 cm of water above the surface of the soil in place they are planted. Obviously, smaller type likes to be nearer.
Use heavy soil intended not fluffy one. Cover the soil with rocks pea or gravel.

I WANT TO GIVE ZERO STARS! The rhizome was very tiny when received, had no apparent growth and totally disintergrated in the pot planted at the recommended depth in my pond. Extremely disappointed.

What arrived was a clipping of a rhizome stem with NO ROOTS it had a small less than a dime size leaf on it but obviously it died and the stem rotted away. I had hope for this lilly but nothing grew. I purchased some before and they all had large leafs and roots. Maybe it was a different seller? Its a trick when you realized it wont grow and the return time is passed.

Packaging upon arrival was great. The tuber was smaller than expected. I put it into substrate in a large vase to start the growth indoors, also added fertilizer tab as advised. It is located under a light. After 1.5 weeks, no growth yet. It that’s not a long time yet. I will update the post if anything changes. It’s still technically winter.Update: its now been one month under a light in 72 degrees and still no growth.Update: the bulb decayed in the water. No sign of any growth. Not worth it.

When it arrived there was a pad on the rhizome, and when I took it out of the bag, there was a bud that had broken off still in the bag. I planted it and put it in the pond, and a day later the lily pad had broken off and floated away from the plant. Hopefully the rhizome will grow something.

I expedited the shipping, so it arrive in 3 days, however the tip of the bulb was damage. I planted in a pot in my pond and nothing for the last 3 days. It was not protected at all , came in an air fill bag. If it spout I'll change my star rating but right now not happy with this at all. Still nothing from the first lily but Greenpro send 2 replacement with live tips. So if it doesn't grow this time it on me, not them. I'm very satisfy with their willingness to address a problem.
