This is absolutely beautiful and made of quality craftsmanship. I wanted a checkbook cover that was made of leather and in a color that I can quickly see it inside my purse. I was a bit worried on the cost about the quality, but now that I have it I am so glad I made the investment. My checks fit in easily and while the leather is a little stiff you can tell it will soften with time.Definitely recommend this purchase.

I have purchased Oberon products many times and all of them have been high quality. Yes the cost is more than you would have to pay for a simple plastic checkbook cover, but to me it is worth it. I have another one that I bought several years ago and it has held up to the wear and tear very well. I have also purchased several Kindle covers and hair clips. I have never been disappointed by the quality, and will purchase them again.

Purchased this check book cover based on a previous produce. I had one for over 15 years, and it is still sturdy and functional. That what made me purchase another one. Hand made leather at this price is perfect. Worth the money.

This is a well made, beautiful checkbook cover. For workmanship and appearance, it gets 5 stars.For functionality, however, it gets maybe 3.5 stars. The leather flap that is supposed to be used for duplicate checks doesn't really work. Leather isn't the right kind of surface to make your duplicate checks legible. So basically you want to ignore the leather flap and get something like this: amzn.com/B004JKVQX2Also, you need to spend some time stretching out the things the back of your checkbook slides into and the thing the top of your register slides into. Before I realized this extra step was necessary, I basically crumpled the paper I was trying to slide in there. It just didn't fit until it was stretched.Also, when it has a register and a full checkbook in it, at the moment, it won't lie closed. I'm thinking this problem will probably fix itself in time.Anyway, once you get the insert and stretch it out a bit, it seems to work fine.

The leather used in making this is thick and of high quality.The carving of the Celtic design is confident and beautiful. As is this *gorgeous* green color!I had no trouble sliding my check pad and register into each side. Like most quality leather products meant to last, it takes a few days to break in regarding the book not creeping open a centimeter or two, working its way towards accommodating them. Having had this for a while now, it's 'behaving' perfectly. ;)I don't write checks much anymore but I do like having the ledger with me. And whenever I look into my purse and see this, I can't help but smile: the green of my own Celtic ancestry sitting there. It's the little things. ;)I received this quickly and in wonderful shape, protected by inner packaging inside the shipping box.Recommended!

I ordered the Celtic Braid checkbook cover in green. I couldn't be more pleased! The leather is high quality without blemishes; it's the kind of leather that gets better and better with use. The size exactly fits my top-tear checks and check register. It's snug, but the insertable flaps of the documents do NOT need to be trimmed. The fit couldn't be better. I found inserting the checks and register into the cover easier after sliding my fingers inside the cover's pockets along the stitching. The workmanship is top quality - better than I've found in any other checkbook cover EVER! The stitching is straight and neat. I looked around a long time before purchasing this cover and I couldn't have made a better choice! I highly recommend this product! I also like the fact this is USA made by a small business. I will definitely purchase from this seller again!
