I love this broom. The bristles aren't too stiff, the handle is stable, it was easy to put together and easy to clean.

Best broom to get dirt up

Finally! A full size broom arrived! This was the 3rd broom I ordered before getting what I wanted - a normal full size broom. First broom ordered was the size of a child’s toy. Second broom had a handle consisting of three pieces that screwed together. I never knew how difficult it would be to find and buy a simple broom! So I went to the O Cedar page on Amazon and after a lot of study I discerned this broom was a normal full size broom. It looks promising so I hope it holds up.

i was so tired of using a vacuum to clean up tiny spills and every broom I've ever purchased doesn't pick up ALL of the particles. I used this broom at Dodges Log Lodges , a little cabin resort area on Lake Superior and I fell in love with it. It gets up to 99% of tiny spills in one clean up and alxo buy the dustpan. It will last a long time and it comes in contact with the surface you are sweeping up beautifully!

Have had lots of O Cedar brooms and this one seems like all of them. Okay . However, the website description DID NOT mention handle would come in sections. No problem putting together. Now I can worry about the handle comingapart. . Sometimes the broom head on this brand comes loose and the threaded end gets worn with use. So I just wrap a large rubber band around the threads and go on. Wish I had known would come with handle in sections.

I ordered two different “broom and standing dustpan” sets from Amazon and they were both terrible. Luckily I have it another shot and ordered this O-Cedar Power Corner. This broom isn’t perfect...but it’s so much better than the other “highly rated” brooms on Amazon. We have a very large tile kitchen and this broom makes the job of sweeping much easier!Pros:Best (by far) over two other brooms I ordered.Size of broom is excellent. I’m 6’2” and it’s ok for me.Picked up smaller debris very well on tile floorsCons:This is hard to explain but the bristles are “springy” so that if you are sweeping at any fast pace when the bristles lift from the floor they spring back into place so fast that it sometimes shoots the dirt across the floor. Lol this is probably my sweeping style!

I've used a straw broom for 30 years. I don't use a noisy blower thingy either. I do have a push broom that the room-mate left me when he moved out. So I keep my old fashioned straw broom up on the porch and was going to use the push broom to keep the car-port clean, now that i had use of the car-port. It didn't work very well. one side of the car-port is along side the garage solid wall but the other side has a wooden wall, but not solid and the bottom gap is the exact height that every time I got that push broom near it it got stuck under the board, so pushing the dust, dirt and leaves out was a chore. I didn't want to carry by old fashioned broom up and down all the time, so I decided to get a new broom for sweeping out the car-port and I figured while doing so, let me try something new. I looked at a few choices here on amazon. The angle of the handle on this broom looked like it might help me some and I liked the flared out ends figuring that would help sweep along the house side without me banging the broom or my hands on the wall. Other reviews said it worked well on garage concrete floors and that is basically what i'm sweeping so i gave this one a try.First use today, oh and i did this while recovering from a recent fall and i have a back rib contusion. This was an easy broom to use. i sweep sand and tree droppings, not leaves but other brownish fluffy stuff that falls off in the spring. No problem and got it all out of the corner where the stairs meets the concrete driveway. i've been doing it for 17 years at this house and today was the cleanest i've ever gotten that spot. usually i have to sweep with the power of say any angry 200 pound gorilla, which i can't do at the moment. My back needed some exercise too to get back in shape, carefully so this is why i decide to go sweeping test which ended up being a completed job not just a little test. I could even sweep easily with one arm only. I then moved on to the car-port. When it rains black dust and dirt get blown and splashed in and it looks bad, i would not walk barefoot out there. The yard is also mostly sand so i get a lot of that too blown in. I was able to gently sweep the entire area, except for where the car was as i didn't want to move it today. I had no trouble along the edges of the garage wall, in corners, near and slightly under the car and especially by the openish wall side. I was able to easily sweep the dust and dirt back out into the yard and this broom never got stuck under the bottom board like that push broom did ever time, plus usually with the push broom i had to sweep like each pass 3 times and still fine dust would be left behind. with this broom i could easily do the same area only once, dirt, dust, sand and leaves all gone. Also it is light enough to easily, one handed, sweep the cob-webs off the walls and ceiling of the carport and knock down a small wasp nest they were starting again. The angle of the handle and the angle/flare of the broom bottom really help along edges. In my opinion the bristles on this broom are stronger than the straw broom, yet still flexible and soft. I never got that area as dirt free in 17 years as i did today with such little effort, sometimes one handed vs the angry gorilla method. Plus did i mention this broom makes no noise. i hate listening to the neighbors lawn mowers and blowers going all day long. The other reason i like a broom is it is good exercise, without feeling like actual exercise. See my other review on the manual (as in no engine) push reel lawn mower i own.The stick handle unscrews also from the base, and then the base can be used like a hand broom. notice the open arch there. I was not able to test that part to well as i can't really bend over yet from my injury, but i brushed the wall a little to get the fell of it.This is the best broom i've ever owned. I'm gonna buy another one and replace my aging straw broom with the wooden stick handle that has been out in the weather too many years. I'm also gonna throw that push broom away as that is useless compared to this broom.I'd say I made a very good choice here and I can't think of anything to tell O-Cedar on how to improve this broom, it's ideal as-is.addedI bought a second one of these ass I liked the first so much. i wanted to have one downstairs in the carport and one upstairs on the front porch. Just went out to sweep the front porch. No problem, works good on hard wood. Not only that i did something unexpected. My porch has gaps between the boards and leave like to fall from the tree into the gaps and get stuck. i like to wake barefoot out there but stepping on the little ends of leaves sticking up I do not like. I've been cleaning them out with an old credit card cut at an angle. Well when sweeping I was able to use the broom sweeping with the end of the broom head through the grooves and enough the bristles were able to push the leaves down and out. Never was able to do that with any other broom. Saves me from having to bend over or get down on my knees to do this. I got things out of nooks that my other broom would just not reach, this broom head is just more flexible and allows the bristles to get anywhere needed. I swept of the window sills and some of the side of the house, which need washing, but the broom got some of the dirt off. I'm really glad I chose this broom, It has done a fantastic job in ways I could never imagine before.

I bought 2 different brooms for our new home - wanting one for upstairs and one for downstairs, and not really knowing which would be better. Hands down - this "O-Cedar Power Corner Large Angle Broom" was far BETTER than the "Libman Precision Angle Broom". They were both within $1 in price but the Libman broom feels small and stiff and is difficult to sweep a small room quickly, much less a large room. I had no idea there would be such a difference in the two brooms. I've included a photo and they both visually seem similar but the O-Cedar has more of an angle and it just seems to make sweeping fun versus the Libman - which really makes it a chore. The dustpan included with the Libman was an after thought and as you can tell from the photo, it's never been used in the 6 months I've been using both these brooms. The simple dustpan and hand broom (or hand vac) is much more efficient in picking up piles of dust and dog hair than using this broom and dustpan. Our new home floor is done entirely in travertine tile, so I've had lots of experience with both of these brooms as well as other floor cleaning tools.
