This is a good, durable hose if used for its purpose. You have to be mindful to make sure that the hose is fully extended and completely flat or else the hose will kink very easily and will not work at all. No matter how much pressure you have pushing through this type of hose, it will not un-kink and will back up and potentially burn up the pump motor. This is typical with these hoses. It's durable, longer than I need it to be, but seems to last a while. The part showing the most wear and tear is where the hose clamp goes over the hose and holds it in place. It will eventually tear up the end of the hose since it's not reinforced material at the ends. Also, it does leak out slightly since the clamp is not adequate for fully sealing the hose to the pipe.

I honestly thought this hose was going to be one of those cheap, flimsy ones, especially since I paid around $80 for a similar hose in the past. But I was pleasantly surprised and the quality is actually solid. It feels durable, lays flat nicely, and seems like it should hold up for a few years even if I leave it outside, just like my old one that lasted about 2 to 3 seasons. I'm using it to discharge water from my in-ground pool, and so far, no issues. It also came with clamps, which was a nice bonus I wasn’t expecting. Overall, I’m happy with it and think it’s a great value for the price.

Just what I needed for pool drain. Put on end of back wash tube for my pool pump to drain back wash water down from pool so it doesn’t sit in low spot in the yard. Love it just what I needed for this
