Was unable to turn the frequency down to 10mhz using the onboard blue trimmer. At best, could manage about 10mhz+3hz or so before hitting the adjustment limit. Adding a 100k resistor across the trim input to the OCXO module (see photo) allowed me to get within about 50 millihertz of my GPSDO reference. It wanders off from that within a minute or so, but typically stays within +/- 500 millihertz for the longer term. High initial current draw (about an amp) to initially heat the module, then settles down to about 200ma at 12vdc. I give it 5 stars for doing what an OCXO should do once fixed, but 4 because you have to modify it for it to be useful.

The item arrived from Amazon in AN ENVELOPE, which is not a great way to handle fragile electronic items. Unit shows poor physical condition, scrapes, dents, and really bad solder joints.The OXCO did work, but the trim pot -- of VERY POOR QUALITY -- could not be adjusted to bring the oscillator to the proper frequency (as compared to my GPSDO and my rubidium standard).If I had wanted to replace the trim pot and the SMD resistors surrounding the pot, the unit could probably function properly, but the SMD resistors are too small for my present eyesight. :)From amazon, to the FBA seller, to me, the customer, this was a waste of time and resources.Caveat emptor...
