Great case to keep vinyl safe. This is the 2nd case I buy. My first I got it over 10 years ago. I’m glad Odyssey added a bit more space on their current model.Worth the money if you want to preserve your vinyl collection safe.

At first it looks perfect. But then when you put the records it's too tight. And when you close the box it contracts the inside a bit. If there's plastic outer sleeves on the records the somewhat larger sleeves that fit well when opened will be crushed when closed.

only issue we had was that we wished it didn't come apart in two pieces.. was hoping it would be attached

This thing is like the Fort Knox of any storage box I ever purchased. It is awesome beyond belief. The albums all fit in there including my box album sets. I’m blown away by the quality and strength of this box.

Awesome case. Interior dimensions approx 12.75" x 12.75". Jackets without plastic sleeves fit just fine including double lp gatefold. My records in Sleeve City oversized Ultimate 5.0 Outers (13"x13") did not fit. I also have some Grove Vinyl oversized Jimmy Hats that are even bigger and definitely do not fit. I removed one side of the foam padding from top and bottom halves and replace with 3/16" foam and now all my oversized sleeves fit perfect.

I’ve been buying vinyl records recently, as I had found a great turntable that makes all the remasters just sound awesome. So say I have 120 records at an ave of 25$ a piece.. that’s $3000 in slabs. That’s quite an investment, and these cases definitely do the job and more so. I you keep your records in the record protectors, you won’t be able fit them in properly as it’s designed to fit the cardboard alone. I had no problem filling 2 cases up and the top part with the handle can be completely removed and set on the floor and the bottom part holding your records can set on top of it, effectively presenting your vinyl within reach, instead having to reach for the floor. So nice being able to flip through them rather than trying to identify them by their spines only. Yes, these are heavy even by themselves but man are they well built. They aren’t overpriced, if you figure 60 records in one, you are paying ~$1.25 protection for each record. These things will outlive me and I can pass these onto my son so he can listen to all my classic death metal, punk, indie and other tasty slabs. They are awesome to look at to boot. Great design, solid construction, hardware is tip top. Accept no substitutes.UPDATE: Ive been living with these 2 cases for a month and I am very pleased. I keep them stacked like in my photo.. cover them every so often, i dont necessarily like them right by the window bc UV rays are horrible but im very limited for space. Today modern gatefolds and reissues tend to be larger than the ones your mom and dad used to have, so dont expect to cram 70 LPs in one of them.. I'm seeing about 50 sitting comfortably, with room to flip slightly. Lifting the LPs off the ground to stack like this is heavy, which is why the hardware is so heavy duty, they function as a short-term lift handles to stack. Love em.

This case is excellent! And all my records fit perfectly with sleeves on all of them.Note: not all sleeves fit the same. And not all albums fit in this. Box sets of course will not!!! Duh. But normal 1 or 2lp will be fine! They fit perfectly in fact. I used to be a dj... now I just store my Discogs for sale items in these crates for storage. And it’s one of the best crates I’ve owned. The foam does not need modifications. It’s likely users had wrong size sleeves.

I'm a DJ and I'm so happy I bought 2 of these cases. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because it would have been nice to have 2 side handles so 2 people could lift the case when it's full of albums. I disagree with the reviews that say the fit is too snug because, with wear, I imagine the cushions will have a bit more give. So I wouldn't want the fit to start out lose, and get too sloppy with wear. I don't have any trouble putting my albums into the case because I rotate them very slightly sideways as they enter the case, then I turn them square once they've cleared the top edge of the cushions inside the case. I also don't have any trouble putting the lid on albums because I tilt the lid slightly as I let it encompass one edge of all the albums, then I gently lower the opposite side of the lid to encompass the opposite edge of the albums. Then the lid lowers quite easily. Perhaps the clear plastic covers on all my albums help the lid to slide down easily. I love the way I can elevate my albums off the floor at a gig by placing the lid on the floor and setting the bottom case on top of the lid where the ball corners fit securely into recesses. I also like the way the case separates in the middle which exposes more of the beautiful album covers to view as they stick up out of the bottom half of the case. These cases are very smart looking and make me look way more professional than my old milk crates. They represent me well and I keep getting compliments on them. I think the dimensions are perfect and well designed to protect my precious albums, some of which are more than 50 years old and still in pristine condition.

Es excelente para proteger tus discos, sin embargo toma en cuenta que si lo vas a transportar puede ser demasiado pesado, recomiendo llevar un diablito o algo parecido

The Odyssey FZLP80 is by far the best LP case I've ever seen in my life!! & I've seen & own plenty! It's amazingly well built; with an ingenious design that allows you to travel with up to 80 LP's, but also display 160 LP's when using both ends, (like in the last picture). It's Über durable and it offers amazing protection for your favourite LP's! The LP's fit snugly inside the case, (but that's a very good thing), especially for travel as it will help reduce any unwanted movement inside. Plus it's lined with a rubber interior for additional protection. I own several road cases for music gear, (guitar amps, etc..) and the Odyssey is as solid as the best road cases out there! Two thumbs way up!!! If you've got some gems you're looking to protect or you just need a way to display your collection for easy use, (or both), Look no further, you just found it!

Love this. Say it holds 100 records....I had a few double records and a lot with heavy clear covers. There were 78 records....it was tight but they are all in there. The thing is very heavy I know its over 60 lbs. I could not lift it but my husband could. Definitely glad I invested in this. Love it
