If you're looking for something to take to shows with you, there are better options with regard to portability, but for home use you can't beat these stands at this price point. Easy to assemble and sturdy. This is the third one I've purchased over about a 5 year period, but the first one is still going strong as well. I've used it with several different laptops, cdj-850s, NI Maschine mk2, a couple different MIDI keyboards, an Ableton Push, and a novation Twitch and it held all of them but the twitch perfectly. With the twitch, it was passable, but because of the location of the controller's feet, the tab in front would sometimes cover the headphone jack.
