I have only had it on for a week but I like that it was a direct fit, and it is working good.

I try to be cheap whenever i can. sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. this alternator never worked from the start. Had papers with it claiming it worked but no it never did. Just never got around to returning it through amazon. As my truck sits, can't drive it anywhere cause the batteries will go dead. Bought in middle of may 2023.

Put this on my 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty 7-3 Diesel. Fit perfect. I had interment battery warning lightcoming on and off, had alternator checked out and said it was good. I replaced alternator anyway and the light stays off now. Old alternator was the original 23 years old.

1 star ? 5 stars ? I'll never knowMade a bone head mistake and blamed it on the alternator.Ford has an extra wire leading from the starter back to the battery (fuseable link) i did not hook this up when dealing with poor connections for my snow plow, and blamed my mistake on the foreign made alternator.Youtube and ford forum's do not address this.

What can I say but it worked as expected. Included in the box was a computer printout that indicates the alternator was tested and passed the tests. The price was right at 70 bucks. Nice to have the old one as I'll rebuild that one myself to have a spare, as it just needs a new regulator/brush assembly.

I installed this on a 1999 f250 Super Duty with the 7.3 turbo diesel after having a couple different parts stores test my old one several times over a couple years and not find a problem with it. It turns out the old one had a bad regulator and was overcharging the batteries until it ruined one of them. Luckily both batteries were under warranty. The symptom was that most of the time the charging system warning light in the dash was on but sometimes it would go out for a while or flicker. At the same time, the batteries were both leaking and slightly wet on top by the fill caps. I am glad to finally have that light out.
