I put this on my 1995 Honda Goldwing 1500 SE Aspencade Trike. It Is a Very Tight and Difficult Fit. You will need Patients and some Skill to do this. First get your Covers off and Un-Hook your Battery Cables. The one I took off was Hard enough to get out, and was the factory one. This Is Bigger and does not have the Right Plastic Plug on It as thy one I took off. The one I took off had a 2 Wire Plug on It, like a Hot and a Ground. The New one has a 1 Wire Plug, so you will have to Cut the Plastic Plug In Wire From Bike to alternator off and The one on the New Alternator as well and Tie them Into each other. I used some Clips to do mine so I can un-Plug If I ever have to take It off again, GOD Willing, I won't ever have to. The New one will have to go Into the Bike from the Front of the Alternator First and for you to get It In you'll have to take off the BLACK Plastic Square Piece on the back of the Alternator held on with 1 screw In order to work It In, OR IT Will NOT GO. Then line It up and put your Bolts In It and Tighten It down. I had to get my Wife to put the Black Plastic Square Piece back on because my hands and Fingers were to Big to do It, Again It Is a Tight Fit but will go on. Then I had to take Needle Nose Pilar's to get a hold of the Hot Cable Wire from Battery to pull It out on to the Screw that It goes on, but I did It. I also replaced the Alternator Rubber Dampers Inside the Housing that the alternator goes Into. No matter how they Look Just Do It, you won't be Sorry you did It. It's a good rule of thumb to do so. You can get the Honda Dealers to order them for you which Is what I did which took 3 Days to get back to them and I picked them up at Sloan's Honda In Murfreesboro TN. Or you can get them on line like on eBay and other places also which Is what I'll do If I ever had to get them again. Anywhere from $20.00 To $30.00 Dollars. It's Worth doing so you don't have to go through all that again just to put the Rubber Dampers In It. If It wasn't for The LORD Helping me I would of never got this done. I hope this helps someone and If so, let me know Please. Thanks Dennis ( PSALM 34 : 6 )

The alternator died in my goldwing 1500 and I saw this one at a good price and ordered it.It was considerably larger than the stock alternator and I was worried it wouldn't fit.It takes patience but it will fit. Most of the time spent is finding a way to get it in and lined up, other than that it bolted right up and everything went right together. At idle I'm getting 14 with my tester so so far it's good! Now time will show it's worth.

Stranded in nowheresville, Alabama , 800 mi. from home when the original 27 year old stock unit gave up. Brushes gone. Amazon delivered in two days to my hotel and it saved the week long planned ride. This 90 amp unit is about 10 % larger than the stock Hitachi but it will fit with some patient fiddeling. Connections were correct for the field and power. Noise suppressor not quite exact but I don't use the radio or CB. Will figure it out when I get home. Whined when charging the low battery but quieted down when the battery charged. Holds steady 13.7 battery voltage when running. I don't think I really needed the extra amperage for my bike. Not much electrical load over stock. In retrospect I would have bought the stock size to avoid the tight fit issue working in the hotel parking lot.
