I got a felting kit for me and my daughter to do together on a creative weekend we plan to take at a cottage we rented. I got this for a 2nd felting pad.THICK?This is nice and thick. It has plenty of heft to it for felting.QUALITYI am impressed with this felting pad. It allows the needles to go into it if necessary, but it won't dull the needles or disintegrate easily like foam can do over time. I think it works really well so far and I will probably use this as my first choice for felting.PRESERVINGWe have moths in our area. I find that putting a drop of essential oil blend for moth repellant helps a lot. I plan to use some of that on the edges of the block to keep the moths away if possible. I also will store this in a zipper bag as well.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a great felting block that will last better, but needs to have repellant on it.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This is such a nice size that allows me to do all sorts of felting of small items in a chair, at a table, or desk. I am really glad to have it, but I want to stress again- putting a few drops on the edges of moth repelling essential oils is highly recommended.
