Update: July 2nd 2020- less than 10 months in service and contactor burned up. Quit working on a 92 degree day. Fortunately I had the original that was pitted but still works. Have a HVAC buddy bringing a new one by tomorrow.Dropped from 4 to 2 stars.First, as someone else mentioned, it is NOT a Protech contactor. It does look the same and wiring was simple as I just moved wires from the old to the new one at a time. Quick and easy and has been working perfectly from late summer heat into cold early winter temps. If this matches what you have and its several years old, go ahead and change it. For the cost, it could save you from calling a HVAC tech which would easily cover the cost (like a capacitor- keep a spare one of those).

I saved myself at least $250.00 in parts and labor costs by installing this part myself. The hardest part was diagnosing the problem as I'm not a trained technician, but there are a lot of helpful resources on the web which quickly got me pointed in the right direction. All in all it took me about an hour to research and pinpoint the problem and only 15 minutes to install the contactor. Thanks to Amazon I received the part in just two days which kept my downtime to a minimum. This capacitor was an improved version of the OEM part and fit perfectly in my Rheem heat pump. Couldn't be happier!!!

This was an excellent replacement for the 15 year old OEM contactor on my Rheem AC fan unit. It was a simple process of swapping out the wires and bolting it to the frame. Works perfectly.
