Got this after watching a YouTube short for how to use it. Worked like a charm so I could repair my drive shaft axle and get the castle nut back on. Be sure to use WD40 liberally and keep working the repair nut until it fully threads back on. Whew!!!

The threads on it are not spiral and one of the die is just a standard nut!

Stupidly damaged axle thread due to the axle nut tang not being first bent back to clear the thread. Take your time, and this tool will make the axle thread usable again.

Used to restore threads on a half-shaft. Certainly less expensive than a shaft replacement , and way less expensive to buy the set over just the size you need.

Helped clean up a mushroomd ended tip on the rear axle of my car, a little lube and elbow grease and the thread was clean and easy to screw on the nut. Definitely would recommend.

Wish I would've had this tool earlier. Stripped threads on an axle means 5 hours of labor to replace the entire axle....this tool has saved me from otherwise purchasing a new axle after redoing my cv joints. Ended up stripping the threads on the shaft. This tool allowed me to create new threads in about 10 minutes and be back on the road.
