About this item

  • Clamp ear is dimpled for increased clamp force
  • Mechanical interlock for secure closure and better corrosion resistance than a spot-weld
  • Galvanized or zinc-plated steel band for resisting corrosion
  • Meets DIN EN ISO 9227 for corrosion resistance
  • 7 mm band width

This Oetiker 105 Series zinc-plated steel one-ear hose clamp with mechanical interlock is suitable for securing a hose to a fitting. The dimple or indentation on the ear of the clamp increases the clamping force for a more secure hold, and the mechanical interlock of this clamp keeps it securely closed and provides better corrosion resistance than a spot-weld, which is vulnerable to corrosion. The band of the clamp has a 7 mm width and is made from either galvanized or zinc-plated steel for resisting corrosion from salt spray in compliance with Deutsches Institut für Normung-English International Organization for Standardization (DIN EN ISO) standard 9227. The burr-free edges of the band reduce the risk of damaging the hose or other item being clamped. This clamp is suitable for attaching hoses to fittings or other devices for applications that involve exposure to corrosive elements, particularly salt water. Such applications include food processing and marine-related processing, such as commercial fishing, among others.

Hose clamps attach tubing and hoses to fittings to prevent flow leakage, or are used for hose or wire mounting applications. They come in a variety of designs to distribute uniform pressure over the circumference of hoses to bind them to fittings. Other hose clamp types are used for mounting, strapping, clamping, and positioning hose or wire. Hose clamps are suitable for a large number of industries, and commonly used in industrial, electronic, and automotive applications.

Oetiker manufactures hose clamps, rings, couplings, conveyor chains, hinged belts, and other connecting parts and accessories. The company, founded in 1942 and headquartered in Horgen, Switzerland, meets International Organization for Standardization/Technical Specification (ISO/TS) standard 16949.

So much cheaper & easier than screw clamps. I keep an assortment of sizes so I have one for most uses. They're easy to cut off if you need to take your connection apart.

Warning! These things can be addictive! Once you start using these to replace ungainly screw-type clamps, or to fix vacuum hoses on a turbocharged car that pop off from lack of a clamp, you will find all kinds of excuses to use them. I use them instead of ferrules to clamp air or water hoses onto barbed fittings. Good stuff!

they work great, fit tight. Make sure you measure the hose and get the right size clamp for the hose you are using.

I was actually surprised how thick these were. I got the 8.9-10.5 mm for my vinyl 1/4" ID hose for beer brewing. Worked great. I was really impressed on how "not s***ty" these things were. It was a nice surprise

Looks more professional, feels more secure, and no finger-slicing "tail" like a typical screw-tighten hose clamp.Of course, you have to be more precise in your sizing, but it's a small price to pay for a far superior product.

Used these clamps to replace the standard screw type. These are superior as they don't kink the hose at any point or have ridges. I didn't have the special tool needed to crimp these, but I do have a pair of end nip pliers that worked pretty damn good. So far, no leaks.
