Didn’t work for what I was trying to do… tried to put this on a Ruger Mark 4 break barrel pellet gun to add a red dot, but couldn’t cock the gun with it on. Seems very sturdy though

This item is the best product that I have found, to mount a flashlight or laser to a 22 rifle. (at least rifles where there is no way to add a pic rail without drilling holes in a stock.). Yes if your rifle has MLOK slots you don't need this; but if you have a traditional rifle stock without MLOK slots... This is a great way to mount a light and or laser.

It took a while to get here but I didn’t want to drill holes in my heritage rough rider rancher and this solved that issue. This let me mount an optic on it no problem also fits on ruger 10/22

I purchased this device to mount a Crimson Trace flashlight and a Magpul Rail Sling Attachment (RSA) QD to my carbine barrel. My barrel was within the diameter range listed for this mount and it attached to the barrel with no problem. The Crimson Trace flashlight mount was snug but would snap on and off the mount so also no problem there. Adding the Magpul RSA QD however was a problem. The RSA QD has a shallow “C” front to rear cross section and while it needs only one rail position, it needs one additional cross slot to the front and a second to the rear of the attachment cross slot for the legs of the “C” to sit into. Without those additional slots this device sits too high on the mount and cannot open wide enough to clamp onto the dovetails. This mount only has a single cross slot instead of multiple slots cut at regular intervals as called out in the Picatinny Rail standard so any device requiring the additional cross slots will not work with this mount. I think this might be the reason some reviewers found they were unable to attach devices to this mount. In my case I was able to modify the mount by marking the front and rear edge locations of the RSA QD with tape and used the cutting edge of a Swiss file to cut two additional slots about 0.1” wide to the depth of the dovetails. This provided the clearance needed to attach the RSA QD. The mount was touched up with aluminum black and looks fine. If the manufacturer would follow the standard for Picatinny Rail cross slot placement the users would not have to resort to “file to fit” DIY solutions.
