I read through the description before putting this cup in the dishwasher. It went through the first time with no problem. But after the second time the emblem fell off. My husband had to glue the emblem back on. Otherwise this is a good coffee cup but definitely wash it by hand.

Husband bought it for my birthday. Very sturdy. Most important - even though part of it is pewter, it's microwave and dishwasher safe. Fun mug.
