I purchased these needle bearings to put on my John Deere riding lawnmower to make the steering easier. I found that they were slightly too thick to be easily installed on the steering mechanisms, but after removing the factory washers, I was able to get these on. It definitely improved the steering on my John Deere riding lawnmower.

This will work for you in most cases, but sometimes you have to make room for the bearing by cutting a bit of the top of the spindle housing off. Even with that inconsequential bit of labor it's still well worth it's a time and effort to install these. Great idea. All in all.

You all need these and should be added to even brand new mowers or anything that has a turning radius. There wre perfect. I would suggest you get a lithium grease that will stay and no either run off or wear out too fast. I chose to use WD40 white lithium grease and really worked in the rollwers before the fit. Then I used grase injection to keep it grease with grase caps. In my case on my John Deere 380 and S160 mowers.

I used these on the steering spindles on my Cub Cadet. It doesn't create 1 finger steering like some of the Youtube videos suggest, but it did make an improvement. For the price, it's worth the upgrade. The Cub Cadet has nuts that hold the spindles on where as some of the other brands just use a clip. Make sure you're not over tightening the nut. And since they may be difficult to lube during regular maintenance, having a couple extra sets on hand will be necessary since I consider this a wear item, much like the belts and blades.

These make my mower steer a lot easier. Fits my 3/4 spindles just fine. Will have to see if they are durable.
