How It Works
Remove Cap To Oil Filter
[Remove Cover] Remove the cap from the bottom of the oil filter housing with socket to expose the drain valve.
Install the Oil Drain Tool
[Loosen The Nut] Make sure that the nut of the connector is completely loosened (towards the hose)
[Connection] Align the oil drain tool with the threaded port and screw into it and hand tight connection.
Start Draining Oil
[Prepare Container] Prepare a container or a oil drain pan at the end of the oil drain hose to contain the oil.
[Adjust the Lower Nut] Tighten the lower nut to activate the spring loaded valve in the oil filter housing.
[Start Draining Oil] Complete the installation and start work.

I just got to use this and I was impressed. I hated using the little nozzle that comes with the Toyota cartridge filters because it would always break when I tried to remove it. I tried so many methods, and it never worked quite well. It may be because I changed from the plastic housing to the metal housings, but I can't say that is the reason.The only gripes I have is when installing it I found the hose didn't swivel around like I would have liked. I had to spin the metal and the vinyl hose together to get it to install properly. I'll have to see how this works as I get more familiar with it. The second gripe I have is just how much oil stays on the tubes walls after I was done draining the filter housing. I had to put this into a cup on my oil change cart to ensure it wouldn't ooze on anything else.I am happy I got it, it was a good value and it fit perfectly once I figured out how to use it.

Great tool for reducing mess while changing oil for Toyota Sienna and many other models with 2GR-FE engines (and other engines that I am not aware of). Although it cannot completely reduce the mess, it can significantly cut down on the amount of oil remaining in the filter cartridge. I wish the hose were a bit more flexible to direct the oil where needed.

This makes changing the oil in our Toyota V6 much easier. Newer Toyotas use non-cartridge filters. The filter housing has a drain at the bottom of it that you empty after draining the oil from the pan. The filters come with a little plastic part for the job but it never locks into place so you have to press it into place and hold it while it drains. It's just a messy pain in the rear. This tool threads into the housing and then you turn a threaded part on it to open the oil flow. It works very well and is much better than the stupid little plastic piece.

I like that it’s easy to use. I would prefer that the hose would spin also because when I screw it on the hose is bent and twirls around.

Why pay twice the amount at a part store or 4 times the amount at a dealership!!!!! Fit great .QQuiet and streak free!!!!!!!! Tundras owners don’t hesitate to buy these blades , a lot of bang for your buck !! Which is unusual in today’s market 👍👍👍

Great tool for draining the oil filter onmy Highlander and Tundra. Screws into the bottom of the oil filter and drains it so when I unscrew the filter it doesn’t get oil all over the place. Works perfectly and is easy to use. I really like it.
