We had a clear one for many years but it finally wore out. This blue replacement one is a bit harder to read but we love it for its functionality.

Hi Wild wild Williams, I received your second Caller ID Globe last Saturday, April 11th, and I am quite disappointed, the batteries in it were dead, no biggie because I know they are only back up, if the power fails, I put in new ones. There are 53 calls in the caller ID log, they should have been cleared out before shipping, and there are numerous letters missing in " Greetings ", example, one says Hippy Valentines day, and many others with missing letters or numbers. I have a expert in Electronics coming over as soon as the covid-19 restrictions are lifted.. And I know now Amazon has extended returns, etc, until May 30th, so I have some time before I decide to return it back to you for a refund I can not understand why items are shipped without being checked out.. Hope your Easter went well..We got about 5" of the heavy wet snow last night, Easter bunny got stuck, Thanks, Bill.

Bought this for my mom. For the amount I spent I expected it to work. Select button does nothing just like the rest. It only shuts on and off and remains in demo mode. I'll call them , and hopefully this problem will be resolved. My mom had one for over 10 yrs and it finally stopped. She didn't want a used one. Seems to me THATS exactly what I got even though it was listed as brand new. Update: called company. Rep was very rude refusing to cooperate and hung up on me. My mom has been there for me all my life, so when I get a chance I do same for her. She didn't want a used one so that's why I got this so called brand new one. Thanks again Detroit.

This is my second Infoglobe,. The first I purchased from a Disney Store. It lasted for many years. The price was substantially lower and I purchased two for my sister. However; the main issue is that it works as specified. I still love it. I am counting on this to last a long time, too. I must confess, that at the price I just paid - if it fails to work again, that will be the end of it.

Received item in timely manner. Looks new-as described. Works just like the one it replaced. I had some concerns about buying a used item but it worked out just fine-sure hope this one lasts as many years as the old one did. It is a great product. I don't understand why they quit making these.

This is a great little item. The caller ID works great. It picks up the name and number quickly. Even on a half of a ring. It has call waiting caller ID also. We like that we can put little messages on it. It hums a little but not what I would call even close to being loud. I bought one for all of our friends for Christmas. I just wish it was an alarm clock too.

An excellent item, but a little on the fragile side, which is to be expected with this sort of technology. The blue ambient light is nice, and the readability from a distance is superb. We had the first one for over a year (20 months) with no problems. The "noise" is minimal, but does increase over time. Could be dry bearings? Design flaw? The eventual demise was signified by spelling errors, which steadily became worse. It went totally stupid in the end, displaying confused caller ID numbers, and popping punctuation in odd places when displaying messages, that were already full of spelling errors. Replacing batteries helped for a day or two, but then it would revert back to its illiterate state. It was fun to watch ...I think heat was an issue, and the machine probably needs to "sleep" during slow periods. It does have a shut down function, and can turn itself on and off at programmable times. We left ours on constantly.I am replacing the machine because we all became quite attached to it.
