I took this on a trip to Europe and installed a sim card with data access upon arrival in France. I used it to connect my American cell phone to wifi so I could order Ubers in 3 countries over the next few weeks, as well as connect 4 phones to stay updated on email, find info, play games, etc. I never connected more than 4 devices at a time but the speed was great and the device is rated up to 10 connections. I will use again whenever I travel overseas and don't have cell coverage. I highly recommend and even loaned it to a friend who also loved it. Great product!

The product is great and I came very quickly. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for this portable WiFi. It worked perfectly for the trip I went on and kept my kids busy.

Save yourself money and frustration!1. This device requires you to buy a separate SIM card and pay a monthly fee just as you would with a cell phone.2. They do not share the above in their Amazon product description.3. The instructions are printed in a 3 font so literally impossible to read. I had to scan to enlarge and even then it’s very fuzzy.4. Their customer service offered to have their “friend” send me a T-Mobile SIM card but I have to pay for it, activate it and, pay monthly. This was a gift so by the time it was received and opened it was too late to return to Amazon. I reached out to their customer service and they are the ones that said that they’ll try to talk to T-Mobile and maybe something can be figured out it would be the easiest thing for them. When I requested a refund, they again insisted I go to T-Mobile, which is not even my mobile company. I asked a fourth time for a refund and they simply stopped responding on their chat so bad product bad customer service bad company altogether and by seeing their phone number they are in China so you’re not going to get any immediate resolutions.I wish Amazon managed better on what companies they allowed to sell on their site so we don’t get stuck with junk!!

The hotspot did not recognize my carrier Tello, it shows T-Mobile (Tello uses T-Mobile towers). Could not find a way to change it, so can't use it.Reading some of the other comments.Yes all hotspots need SIM cards, don't be surprised. This hotspot uses the older MICRO SIM card, most now use the small NANO SIM card. You just need a MICRO to NAMO SIM card adapter which you can get on Amazon $4. Then you need to open the sim inclosure like a door put the sim in, close it and slide it until it locks.
