Your cart is empty.Standing nearly 170 feet tall, this lighthouse is one of only a dozen brick tower lighthouses left in the US. Built in 1872 near Nags Head, NC, this tower still retains its original first order Fresnel lens. The island was named after the Body family who once lived there.

It’s fragile but light weight so it’s great for hanging on tree branches without weighing them down.

I bought several as gifts. We had visited the light house. The ornament is super cute and looks like the actual lighthouse.

In the photos, this item is shown as arriving in the collectible, Old World Christmas gift box. Mine did not. Instead, it arrived in a plain white box with a sticker label. This was intended for a gift. Without the gift box, as shown in the photos, I will not gift this to someone. It is being returned. If the box is not important to you, it is a lovely ornament otherwise. I ordered one of the other lighthouses from this same listing & it did arrive in the collectible box.
