Compatibility
OLFA's RB45 replacement blades are compatible with most 45mm rotary cutters but perform best when equipped with an OLFA 45mm Rotary Cutter.

At first I was just trying to save some money so I bought an off brand even while KNOWING that OLFA was the blade I should get. Well, with the very first off brand blade I had to "saw" back and forth to get 2 pieces of fabric to cut and it wasn't smooth and straight; it was a ragged cut. I sent them back and got the OLFA brand blades. What a difference! I have cut 8 (eight) layers at a time and the cut is swift, smooth and perfect. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. I will never switch.

I bought a knock off replacement blade as it was way cheaper. Regretted it as soon as I used it! It made a lot of lint and could not cut through the layers! I will gladly pay a lot more for the best blade now as I use it for quilting. Cuts through many layers clean; no lint!

I don’t know how long the blade is supposed to last but so far has lasted through a quilt and matching curtains.Cutting with a new blade is like cutting butter with a hot knife.
