When I am working in the garden in the red river valley soil (black dirt and clay underneath). I need garden tools that can hold up to the task and not bend or break when they get pride on moving dirt. It is not always feasible to use a fork or shovel you need a good strong hand tool and these and Ames products have been the best I have ever purchased. I have been gardening for 47 years now on our farm. I also have 12 flower beds with 7 being rock gardens. Besides these are from the family that designed New York park.

The quality seems really good on these tools, and I'm so excited to use them. However, there were a couple scratches on the shovel, which is disappointing, but it still looks nice. The handles are very sturdy but very comfortable, and you can tell the tools are made to last. The tines of the rake were not aligned completely evenly, but I could sort of bend them a bit back into place. The products arrived quite dusty, which I found strange and unappealing, but obviously dust is a very minor issue and I can just wash it off. Other than a couple things, the tools look great and I'm very excited, I just wish that the scratches on the shovel weren't there considering the price of the product.

I absolutely love this high quality tool set. It’s designed perfectly for each duty. The cork style handles are very strong and super comfortable on my hands while planting different scapes.

Whether gardening as an aesthetic or actually gardening is your thing, these beautifully designed and wrapped tools are the perfect gift for any nature lover. I picked these up for the digging trowel with the beveled edge and the large capacity hand shovel and I have come to love this set. The sturdy cork style handles make long wear and use feel comfortable. 10/10 love my purchase after using for a summer and can’t wait to gift some to friends these holidays

These are serious tools for the serious gardeners out there. Sturdy, well-crafted and understated. A little pricey, true, but so worth the price you pay for them. Would have loved a set for smaller hands (hint, hint) but overall am so pleased with the set. Am seriously (yes, that word AGAIN) thinking of purchasing other tools from the Olmsted Forge line-up.

I ADORE this set! It's exactly as pictured. Sturdy, but not so heavy as to cause fatigue. Modest, but beautiful. Chic, but practical. The scoop is generously sized, better than most. The transplant tool is amazing, and I am so thrilled to have a cultivator and hand rake. If they could make some secateurs as phenomenal as the rest of this set I would faint (not from the heat). It has been a chore to find a new quality garden set. Thank you so much for rescuing my plants and I!
