This vice is awesome. Easy to use, & I like the way the handle can lock halfway or fully extended. It turns smoothly too.

First off, the suggested retail price is over $300. At $130, it's a steal. It comes with a bolt-down receiver hitch for the bench, which makes it handy to move back and forth. On my ranch, it seems I'm always in the field fixing something. My bench is usually my tailgate. This hitch vise is great for me.The first unit I received had a flaw. The threads on one end of the vise handle had been sheared off in production, so the cap end wouldn't stay on. I filed a warranty claim with Olympic, asking for a new handle. Customer service responded within a day. Gabby, the rep, asked for pictures and I sent two showing the caliper measurements of the stripped end and the cap. She promptly replied by promising to ship me another complete vise. It arrived from their Memphis warehouse within 3 days. Impressive!I can't recommend it more highly.

Bought this to use for some home gunsmith work and was disappointed when I went to use mine and noticed that my unit won’t slide into my hitch. The end of the hitch mount appears to be crooked which I’m guessing is what’s causing the issue. I know it’s not on my end because I use my hitch regularly. For a vise that costs this much I would expect better quality control.

Almost bought a more expensive Wilton, but found this one. It's been great for working on my guns and other projects out in the fields. When I visit parents and friends I'm prepared to work on things for them too.

Used on the utility trailer frame, can just slide it out of the carrier for storage. Super convenient.

I have a 4 inch vise on a wooden work bench in my garage but if I really needed to "lean" on it, my whole bench would move. Not to mention my wife would get a little worried when I would weld or she would see the shower of sparks from grinding on it. This new vise solved all those problems. I can push or pull as hard as I want but there is no moving the truck. I also like that now I can weld or grind right outside the garage with the added safety that gives me and peace of mind the wife gets. Another great thing about it is I can clamp things of any length or height now. So far it has been very strong and holds very well. I expect it will last a lifetime. It is also quiet if you close the vise and put the handle in the middle like they designed it. Like I said, "I love it". I wish I had bought it 20 years ago. The only way I could think to improve it, would be to use a hitch adapter that raises it since my truck isn't very high. Go ahead and buy it, you will be glad you did.
