Great but I had to return it - first Olympus.com gave me wrong information and my 13 yr old camera could not handle 512MB and secondly, I received a new camera for my birthday and it would not accept the Olympus memory card so I returned it.

It worked like it was supposed to in our Olympus C740 camera. And man, does it hold a lot of images. WE used it in Italy last fall, and didn't need to make room as we took over 600 photos on one card, with room to spare.

It's not the card's fault but although this card is listed as suitable for my Olympus Camedia C-5000ZOOM, I found that it made all processes much slower than I am prepared to put up with. No spontaneity possible when you have to wait many seconds after turning the camera on before it's ready to shoot. So, I opted for the standard 512MB card instead as it does everything I need it to.

When compared to the amount of space on cards these days, it's surprising that the 512 was as expensive as it was a few years ago. I bought this when I picked up my Olympus and it did a wonderful job for the amount of time I used it. Unfortunately the card broke a few years after purchasing it, but for the time I had it - I was very pleased with it.

this is the best card I've ever owned. I used to run out of room on my other cards. No problem with this card. It will hold about 600 pictures and seems to last forever. I've had it for about 8 years now. Just delete pictures and start again.

If you have an Olympus Cameida 740 camera, this is the largest memchip it recognizes without issues. And this is the only one that will allow you to use the panoramic setting on the camera. The price is starting to rise on these and the availability is going down (less places have them) so if you love your camera get another card or two while they are still around. It will give you 270 shots on the highest setting on auto... and 20-24 on TIFF on portrait. If you are running a photoshoot, at least you can take a few pictures before downloading unless you have the camera leashed to a laptop to do direct download.

My Olympus C-740 Ultra-Zoom is an older digital camera. This 512 MB XD card is the largest card I could find that would work in my camera. I ordered it, received it quickly, and have had no problems. It's wonderful. (Olympus has a chart that identifies what cards will work with what cameras. I didn't find that out until I had already purchased an XD card that was much too large.)

For the most part the picture card does its job when using it in my camera; however, I repeatedly have issues with it when I attempt insert the card to view pictures on my laptop. I receive error messages stating that there is a problem with the card. Since I use mutiple types of cards in the same drive, I am confident that it is the memory card and not my computer. I also have issues with the card when reviewing photos in my camera. Not sure if these are refurbished cards or what because none of my other older cards give me trouble like this one
