Garbage dont by tighten it up with 1/4 ratchet and as soon as it started compressing down on copper washers it snap and broke on brand new caliper line and washers never have i had a bolt snap so easy.bolt is mad with cheaps metal i have every felt

I have seen many banjo bolts but never one with a threaded shoulder. This feels like they took a bolt and milled and drilled it. I returned them and bought some that were very close and looked nicer (Carlson H9472-2). They also came with copper washers unlike this one.

Banjo bolt used for 1999 Wrangler TJ, fit great and does not leak. Make sure and use new washers.

The item I received was zinc plated instead of the yellow chromate finish shown in the product photo.The threads are 3/8" x 24, and the length from under the bolt head to the end of the threaded portion isvery slightly over an inch. The side and end holes are chamfered. The hex head is 9/16" across. All of thisinformation should be in the product description, but is not (as of this writing). It fits many more Jeeps thanjust the CJ models.

Worked fine on '97 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) brake calipers.I had trouble finding them, the Jeep part number, J4006700 is discontinued, no longer available from the dealer, and no local parts stores could cross reference that part number to anything. I had been searching for "banjo bolts" but had no luck, then dumbed down my search to "brake hose bolt," and found these. Maybe having the part number and proper term in this review will help others find the right part in the future.
