I tried a this hose that said it worked on a 1977 CJ7 Jeep base model and it was obviously the wrong hose. This hose is widely advertised to fit, but isn’t anywhere close to my Jeep. Maybe my Jeep has a smaller tank (maybe 15 Gallons) than most and is further away from the filler neck. Hose looks like it’s good hose just not right for my vehicle.

Simple. Part says it fits my vehicle, and it does not. Vent hole is in wrong spot, too thick for existing clamps. Just all wrong.

This is not a direct fit on a 1977 Jeep CJ5 it cost me 60 more dollars to adapt it. It was to short and the vent hole in the wrong place. Like it says here on AmazonThis fits your:1977 Jeep CJ5

Vent hole is on the wrong side and the hose is about four inches too short on the gas tank side.

Works, but vent is on the opposite side as compared to my factory hose. Worked though...
