Recently bought a XJ and previous owner told me it has all new motor mounts and transmission mount. Sometimes when I’m at a light I can feel something vibrating underneath. Decided to get under to investigate and noticed the exhaust was sitting very close to the crossmember. Didn’t noticed any hanger missing or anything.I looked at the mount and it still look to be in good shape. I saw a part number on the side of the mount so I did some googling and noticed the price was really inexpensive. Read the reviews and 1 particular review mentioned when they swapped to a better quality mount the exhaust stopped hitting the crossmember so I took a chance and ordered this. After installation the exhaust gained at least 4mm of extra clearance probably. The rubber on this mount is harder and sits higher than the cheap one. I attached a photo for comparison and how the exhaust sits now.

I broke one stud because of my r-strength, but then drilled it and bolted it. You shouldn’t have any probs. No impact tools for installs. Tight is tight.

What more can I say, this mount fit well enough and eliminated the jarring shift into drive that I was experiencing. Time will tell how long it will hold up but fixing the issue quickly on a budget was the goal.

Good for the money, but definitely not heavy duty. I broke a bolt off during installation, not even trying to torque on it. It seems to be working fine and has stopped vibration (even with only 3 of the 4 bolts). When I eventually replace it I'll go with a heavier duty version.

Just seemed like much lower quality than original.

I used this transmission mount to replace a white box no name mount that lasted a little over a year before it split in two. I installed this worthless mount and the plate that bolts to the transmission completely separated from the rubber in a little over a month, so of course I can't return it. Save your money in the long run and but a good aftermarket mount like Stinky Fab Racing's.

Fits my 90 xj perfectly. It took a little persuasion to get the crossmember back on, but that is to be expected. Be sure to have jack stands or a second person for reinstallation. It can be done without, but mounting the crossmember is a pain.So far it seems to be stronger than the original. I will update if I have any problems with it

This is a good mount . I installed in 99 jeep xj with no problems. This mount wont fit the later models with the bolts in the middle. I bought two different mounts one from napa and one from rock auto both had thinner rubber. When i installed them my transfer case sunk down so far it hit the skid plate just like the old one that i was trying to replace. This one is thicker and the rubber is harder so transfer case sits higher.

Part fit my 1998 Cherokee perfect, even with the manual transmission. I hard a hard time finding a real answer out but automatic and manual ones are indeed the same.
