Excellent Craftsmanship
The Oneder OV500 violin is made of selected spruce wood panel, maple backboard and side plates. A completely handmade instrument, cut from a complete piece of wood with resonance, excellent sound quality.
Install Bridge
The bridge should be left high and low right, and the bridge should coincide with the midpoint of the sound hole of the violin.
When you follow the bridge, you must loosen the violin string. After placing the bridge in place, the string is inserted into the limit of the bridge, and the tuning can be used normally.
Adjust Fine Tuners
The function of the fine adjustment knob is to help the violinist to make parts for tuning.
Firstly, loosen the fine adjustment knob, and then adjust the violin neck knob to about 10 cents lower than the standard tone. Press the top knob to fix the pitch, then gently Tighten the fine adjustment knob until the pitch is exactly positioned. It is recommended to adjust AD first and then adjust GE.
How to Keep Strings in Tune
Push the pegs inward as you tune the strings up to pitch. This ensures that the pegs hold tighter as the tension of the string goes up.
If this does not work, use peg compound to help lock the pegs in place. You can also apply chalk (or rosin cake) onto the pegs where it is inserted into the peg box.
1. If it is new rosin, scrape the surface rough with a knife or sandpaper before use so that the rosin sticks to the bow hair.
2. Adjust the tightness of the bow hair and tighten it as much as possible. Place the top of the bow hair on the rosin and push it forward slowly with even force.
3. Repeatedly wipe 3-4 times, and then gently shake off the bow, is to get rid of excess rosin.
4. The number of wipes depends on the frequency of use. If you want to use the violin every day, you need to wipe the rosin every day. If you practice less, you can rub it every 3-4 days.
5. Remove the rosin powder from the violin with a rag after each play. If not cleaned in time, rosin will form a hard lump, not conducive to the maintenance of the violin.

This violin is an excellent beginner instrument. It looks amazing, is very well made, and sounds clean and sharp. Some assembly is required but it is not difficult. However, if this is your first violin, I would recommend taking it to someone familiar with violins to help you assemble it correctly and tuning it as well.The whole kit comes with everything you need to get started.Overall, I was very impressed by the craftsmanship and sound of this violin. Highly recommend it for beginners or even experienced violinists.

The case is well made, has carry straps on the back and a generously sized pocket on the front to hold accessories. The interior of the case is okay, it is entry level quality. The violin itself is entry level quality but looks very nice. I chose the brown wood model to look more like a traditional violin. It cam already pre-strung, all I had to do was loosen the strings, install the frog and tighten the strings and tune it up. It included a tuner which made tuning effortless. The tuning pegs didn't really want to support the tension of the strings well and I had to really push them into the peg holes very hard to get them to stay put securely. The two bows are of average quality and when rosin is applied make an okay quality sound. I will say that for that price I did expect a bit better sound quality- even for an entry level model, but all in all it is a nice beginner violin.

I ordered this violin for myself. I have never even picked up a violin until I received this one. This is a really beautiful violin and has a great finish. The wood stain is uniform and nicely applied giving it darker hues towards the edges. The strings were pre-strung and are easy to bring into tune. This set includes a digital tuner, among other great accessories. The violin itself is made well and is almost totally made out of wood. Just a few brackets and screws along with the bridge are the only parts not made of wood. The bow is also good quality and needs to be tightened and rossened up. The sound quality is great. Low notes come through with rich clarity and the higher notes are played with strong tone and clear pitch. I would definitely order this again and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in violin. Great value and good quality.
Burning down the house

First, I am not and never was a violin player, so no claims as to the sound of the instrument. But I did find the kit very complete, containing everything I might need to start out with lessons or just trying it on my own. I did look up a few things on the internet just to check and it seems that I could have a good time with this instrument and won't need to run out to the store for anything. The case is well built and holds the instrument gently and securely. The instrument itself is correctly formed and nicely polished. Though I could not find the provenance of the violin by looking inside the "f" holes, I still think this is more than adequate for my beginning lessons. Whatever you do, don't touch the bow hairs - it's very tempting!

We got everything advertised, however, the rosin was broken already, so when we opened it up, the power from the broken rosin got everywhere on our carpet. The pegs doesn't hole its position when my husband try tuning the violin. We were excited to get this.. but really disappointed by the quality.

Wanted to start learning this and I ended up getting this. I had my friends try it out who actually played and they said it was pretty good for the price. I think its a good set for beginnners.

I haven't played violin since I was in 4th grade... and I have an 8th grader now. I've wanted to get back into it for years, but didn't have the opportunity until this crossed my recommendations list. Picked it up IMMEDIATELY. The case is soft-sided, not a hard case like the one I had as a kid, but that's better for storage in my house anyway and the inside has the same kind of firm formed spaces for the components as the old hard case I had. This kit includes every accessory you could ever need aside from replacement violin strings or bowstring, which really impressed me. Excellent beginner kit for anyone just starting out! The sound quality is good as well.
