Like its "opposite gender" couins, an excellent set of binding post to bnc adapters for ham radio/straight-wire antennas.

For quick and simple way to build small basic dipole for low-powered VHF to extended range for your VHF up to 25 watts from BNC connector. Because of MURS are limited to out-put power 2 watts by FCC law. Good news: You'll DOUBLE the MURS range without breaking the FCC Law. Also great for VHF Aircraft, 2-Meter, VHF-High, Marine Band and 222 MHz band. Can be used for UHF-Low band as dipole to simple beam antenna as for Great experiment with low SWR for greatest range.

Like everyone else, I used this to make a 20 meter QRP dipole antenna for my portable operations. I used a 3/16 drill bit and drilled a hole between the terminals then attached a carabiner clip to it so there would be no strain on the wire. I used about 17' of 20 gauge wire for each side and deployed for fine tuning. I was able to trim the ends to get the phone portion of the band to 1.0 SWR and the digital portion of the band to 1.2 As you can tell, it has a low Q (wide bandwidth) to cover the entire band without an antenna tuner. It would not be resonant on any other band without one. Since you get 5 to a pack, make 5 bands. Also in the picture I have a female BNC to SO239 adapter because all of my cables are RG-8X with PL-259 ends. These things are great for dipoles. Between wire, carabiner and adapter I have less than $10 in it and it works amazing and is super light weight.

Easy to use for field expedient antennas. Plastic quality could be a bit better but still gets the job done reliably.

I use these for ham radio portable antennae, both VHF and low power HF. Connect the dipole leads to the holes in the banana sockets, and coax cables from the BNC connector to the radio. Quality of these is good. Would buy again.
