I purchased this table for my home office which is a small room. This desk is very sturdy (and extremely heavy when it arrives in its very well packaged box). I am a 73 year old woman with some experience and abilities in diy. It took me about 1 1/2 hours from opening the box to placing the desk in the room. Here are some tips. FIRST, even though the instructions say otherwise, I would strongly suggest you put the leg caps on the legs first. This will save you a great deal of frustration while assembling the desk. Also, I layed all the pieces out on the floor before assembly. There is an included wrench that does everything you need except for the keyboard. It would be helpful if you have an additional person to assemble this desk without having it falling over. A chair had to suffice for my additional person. I would also suggest that you look for the holes that are rather semi drilled under the keyboard tray. They are difficult to see and you will need a Phillips Screwdriver for this particular part of the assembly. I used my battery operated screwdriver and it went together quickly. Lining up the keyboard was the most frustrating part of assembly for me. After the final tightening of the screws, the desk was ready for my computer. It is very solid - no swaying at all - and very functional. As I have shorter legs, I didn't find it cramped, as my legs go under the keyboard nicely. I actually put my wireless printer on the bottom shelf and it works like a dream. I did use a monitor riser on the top which allows my MAC MINI and my G-drive a space under my monitor. I have room for my router, my Logitech camera and my telephone on the top of the table. The best part is that is a a brilliant choice for the small space and keeps everything where I need it to be. I would think this would be ideal in a kids room as well.

I have gotten along with using a tray table for over five years with my laptop. I have been happy with that until I adopted a kitten and she thought that the computer was hers. I have gone through three power cords and after the last purchase I knew the tray table was not an option.I spent three days trying to figure out what one to get. I read every one of the reviews on this model and four others.The selling point for me on this one, the size. I wanted one that did not take up much space. I wanted to have this in my small bedroom where space is at a premium.The instructions that came with this are good and I am thankful that I read them three times before getting this started ( while trying to assemble this on my living room floor, busy with getting the legs put on the small back board I heard some paper being chewed. I was hoping it was not the instructions but could not let go and see. Sure enough the kitten got them and chewed them up into small strips).With the instructions gone the only part that I was not sure of was the pull out keyboard (flat part in the back or front). I put the flat part on the back and the rounded part towards me. It moves freely and has a squeak sound when pulling it in or out.This seems like it is made good and sturdy, I have some heavy stuff placed on the bottom shelf and no signs of stress. I inspected all the parts and each one was in perfect shape. If I can find room for one more I will purchase another for the hubby.I have room for the laptop and my coffee and a pencil holder with room to spare on the top. It is a great computer desk and is serving its purpose very well .I am using a wooden chair that I had my dad saw the legs off for me five years ago and fits perfect ( I needed a chair that my feet could touch the floor, I am short ).
