The OnGuard Bulldog LS U-Lock features the X2P Double Bolt Locking Mechanism, which locks the shackle on both sides for best-in-class protection. Its long shackle provides more locking options, making it ideal for securing your bike in medium crime areas. The 11-13mm hardened steel shackle resists cutting, prying, and jacking, while the Z-Cylinder is bump-proof and resists picking, pulling, and drilling. The rounded design with a centered keyway eliminates pry points, and the double rubber-coated crossbar cover protects your bike's finish. The extra thick molded end caps offer additional protection against bumps and hits. The lock includes 5 laser-cut keys, 1 with a micro-LED, and an all-tube mounting bracket.

Fate attenzione le misure nell'immagine sono sbagliate, gli 11.5 in (292mm) sono dall'interno della curva del lucchetto alla base interna della maniglia! Restituito perché troppo lungo per me, per il resto qualità Top!

Perfect length for locking up a fat tire bike through the frame and spokes to a bike stand or a sign pole with no need to carry extra locks as extensions. The four spare keys appear to be difficult to break unlike previous bike locks I have used in the past. No need for the mounting bracket. I just hang the lock off of my handle bar while in transit.

The weight of the box when this lock arrives gives confidence without even seeing the product. It's clearly made of solid material. You get five keys so can loose 4 before you have a problem. The double-lock mechanism should prevent the prying technique often used on single mechanisms. The bar and shackle are thick enough to ensure a substantial amount of effort would be required to grind through or warp the item out of shape. In fact, I think the size of the thing would put any opportunist off without a go.The downside is the size. That's partly my fault for not fully comprehending the measurements but I've got no-idea how anyone has managed to use the supplied frame mount. I can't find anywhere to position it on my bike, it's too big. This means it goes in my rucksack and weighs down my bag.If you have a regular spot to park you bike I feel you could confidently leave the lock there for when you arrive with your bike. Otherwise, the lock isn't designed for easy transport - check it will fit your bike before you buy.

Love this lock because it's long enough to protect the bike frame plus wheel by locking to the bike rack. It's heavy (est. 3 lbs) but easily attaches to my bike with a bungee cord on the rear rack & I don't notice a difference riding. The included holder doesn't work on a woman's bike frame because the lock is so tall it will hit you in the crotch when you get off your bike if you're 5'5 like me. I've ridden all over town & locked my bike in sketchy neighborhoods & no one has stolen my bike or attempted to cut this super thick lock. It's smooth/easy to close & comes with four extra keys in case you lose your key & one is a lighted key for night rides.

I own several bikes that I like a lot, but had been using cheap coil locks without knowing how easy they were to cut. After watching some videos online, I realized I needed a better lock.OnGuard sells many locks, and the Bulldog LS is probably the best bargain quality lock they sell. LS stands for long shackle, which is nearly 12 inches. There standard model (STD) is about 9 inches, and their mini is around 5 inches. The smaller the shackle length, generally the safe the lock as a thief won't be able to pry it open. However, unless you have a perfect place to park every day, you need the extra length of the long shackle to span the gap.At around $25, this is a 13mm lock that is impervious to nearly all bolt cutters, and will need a grinder to break into. It is double bolted, meaning, a thief will need to cut in 2 places to get to your bike. Odds are, that will cause too much noise and they will get caught. The kit includes 5 keys (seems a bit excessive), the lock, and a mounting bracket. Some people complain about the bracket, but I've got it set up on 3 different bikes and never had one fail on me. I think it just depends on how you secure the heavy lock. If the lock is at a weird angle and putting a lot of pressure on the bracket, it will break. Use common sense here. You can also just use a rear rack to hold your lock instead.Dollar for protection, this is a good deal. If you want something safer, the Abus locks tend to be the next step, but are 5x the price. You are likely better off with 2 of these locks than 1 Abus. Make sure you lock your bike correctly (not just through a wheel, or just through the frame). People can leave the lock with part of your bike there, and steal other things (like a wheel, seat, lights, computer, etc).

This lock is great, and it's everything it's advertised as. It comes with an abundance of keys, on of which has an LED light installed. The lock is thick and strong, and the lock mechanism hasn't stuck on me yet. With all that being said:I would not recommend this lock for most people bicycle needs. The reason is simple: it's too big. One of the most common types of bike thefts is via leverage attack, meaning they use the bike itself to leverage and break the lock. This lock is huge and therefore particularly vulnerable to this type of attack. Possibly if you plan on removing your front tire and locking it alongside your rear tire this lock is for you, but even then I think it's larger than you need. The mounting mechanism appears to be good, but I've hardly used it because the lock is too big to reasonably mount anywhere on my bike.Consensus: OnGuard is a great brand and I totally recommend getting a lock from them. Check out for one that's better for a normal bike owner. I'll probably be selling mine and getting that one soon.

Extended length is nice as can lock through rack and rear tire/frame and front tire (if I detach from frame and move to back). Seems reasonably robust and I have no concerns that it would be easy to defeat, but otherwise not quite as robust as some of the other products on the market if you are looking for something indestructible.
