This product was not what I was expecting! They were very small. Didn’t bother returning because it didn’t cost a lot and I’ll probably find a use for it one day.

The headline says it all. Made several rice patties using the molds and popped them in the air fryer. They worked great and were easy to clean (hand hand-washed them, they are pretty thin and I think my dishwasher would melt them when drying).

The NCYOEW Onigiri Mold kit is a fun and easy way to try making sushi and musubi at home. The musubi press works decently, and the non-stick coating is helpful for clean removal of rice. The two triangle molds are a nice addition, especially for creating different shapes of rice, but they can be a bit small and tricky to fill evenly.While the kit works well for beginners, getting the rice texture and pressure right takes some practice. I found that too much rice or uneven pressure can cause the rice to spill out or not hold together well. The size of the molds also limits how much you can make at once, so you may need to repeat the process for larger servings.Overall, it’s a fun and affordable way to get creative with sushi, but the molds could be improved for better consistency and ease of use.

Though the onigiri molds are smaller than I expected, they are super easy to use and I actually think they are kinda perfectly sized after using them. They are easy to clean and durable.
