This ph tester passed all my benchmarks for calibration, out of the box. I use it for home brewing beer and dialling the pH in perfectly (the fermenting process has quite a bit of chemistry involved). It's very easy to use and comes with instructions. The digital display is great.

ONiLAB Digital pH Meter Review: Precision Meets ConvenienceThe ONiLAB Digital pH Meter is a delightful tool for anyone who requires accurate pH measurements in various environments. With a high accuracy of 0.01 pH, this pen-type tester is not just precise, but also offers a user-friendly experience that caters to both novices and experienced users alike.Ease of Use and Calibration One of the standout features of this pH meter is its simple calibration process. The ability to easily calibrate with 1-3 points and automatic buffer recognition is a real game-changer. Recognizing five different types of solutions makes it versatile for a myriad of applications, from aquariums to hydroponics. The auto temperature compensation (ATC) is a thoughtful addition, ensuring that readings are accurate whether you're working in a hot climate or a cooler environment, with a temperature range of 0 to 60˚C (32-140˚F). Moreover, the inclusion of calibration solutions in the kit shows that ONiLAB has prioritized user convenience right from the start.Quality and Versatility The replaceable glass pH probe is another highlight. It boasts low impedance, which significantly improves both the response speed and stabilization time. This is particularly beneficial for users who require timely and reliable readings, such as those in environmental monitoring or brewing. Additionally, being able to order a replacement probe separately ensures longevity and sustainability, which is something I appreciate in a product.Display Features The large LCD display is easy to read and features three backlit colors that indicate different modes, adding a nice touch of functionality. The dual display of temperature and pH makes it easier to make informed decisions at a glance. Furthermore, the smiley icon indicating stable readings is a small yet effective detail, ensuring you know precisely when it’s time to take notes. This feature reduces the chances of guesswork and increases confidence in the data collected.Customization and Battery Life Another plus is the customizable settings. Users can adjust the auto shut-off timing and backlight display duration, which is a thoughtful feature that aids in battery conservation. With up to 2000 hours of continuous operation on AAA batteries, I find the battery life impressive, and the low voltage indication is a bonus, providing users with the peace of mind that they won’t be taken by surprise when it’s time to replace the batteries.Final Thoughts In conclusion, the ONiLAB Digital pH Meter impresses with its accuracy, user-friendly features, and robust design. The quality seems promising, and while I am still in the process of evaluating its longevity, so far, it has met my expectations. Whether you're involved in hydroponics, aquarium maintenance, or quality testing of water, this pH meter is a solid investment that delivers on its promises. Overall, I would recommend the ONiLAB Digital pH Meter to anyone looking for a reliable tool in their toolkit.

There's a few things I really like about this meter and not much I don't. I'm a retired agronomist and still active indoor horticulturist/consultant. And I really love this thing for a few reasons one it has a lanyard and when you're walking around in a grow facility the last thing you want to do is lose your pH pen to check your reservoirs of your nutrient solutions and you'd really don't want to be shoving it in your pocket and then you accidentally break a 200 dollar meter because you sit down. So that's a big bonus for me! Another thing I like about it is it takes plain old AAA batteries and not those harder to find and more expensive button cells. The accuracy on this is just fine it's just the same as the very expensive quote on quote upper tier PH meters. Yes they are good but so is this and it's a fraction of the cost if you're just using this for a home grow or an aquarium or you're doing some kind of fermenting or checking your pool this meter is going to be fine for you. I highly recommend it I don't think you can go wrong for the price that's for sure and it comes with a nice little handsome carrying case and bottles of calibration solution. Thanks for taking the time to read my review

I used this in the field the other day and wasn't super impressed. The probe arrived with the cap looking like it had a little crust from maybe the soaking liquid drying up, and the battery cap was popped open. There's a little door that latches down to keep the batteries in and this had popped open and forced the watertight lid open as well. Once everything was fixed, I checked the standards and things looked good. However, I noticed that the reading jumped around from ~7 to suddenly 3, then back. I thought maybe it was a glitch, but then it kept happening, repeatedly, when in use. Given that we were sampling a stream, it seemed reasonable to accept the neutral values, but it made me wonder how accurate those readings are if it's suddenly jumping around so much.It comes in a handy carrying case and has a strap to hang it around your neck. I really had high hopes for it. Maybe I got a bad manufacture. I'll probably keep fiddling around with it until I'm sure it's no good. Until then, it just doesn't give me high confidence in the data.

So convenient for use with my aquarium. So much easier and more accurate than strips or ph liquid testing kits. Great find.

This is probably the nicest pH meter I have used. The meter takes 4 AAA batteries that are sealed in the unit with a water-tight lid. The LCD screen is large and visible. The meter was a few points off ... but the recalibration function worked flawlessly, reading the 7.0 and 4.0 solutions. This meter is great for testing home water quality and for use in a commercial garden. The meter picks up a reading in a few seconds, but I like to let it sit for 20 seconds or so to see if the reading fluctuates. The meter works well with solutions mixed with plant food. The battery life on this is great. So far, it is using the same set of batteries. Blue Lab really makes quality meters with lots of added innovation. This meter needs to be stored in storage solution to keep the probe from malfunctioning.
