I'm very pleased so far. There are two basic features that makes it better than a plain, basic grill. One, opposing ends of the grill lift up so that I can add charcoal. And two, the center of the grill lifts up and out for adding charcoal or when cooking with my Vortex. Cleans relatively easy and is holding up very nicely. Easy to recommend.

Bought this 2-piece grate for my 22" Weber kettle grill to replace one of similar type that rusted prematurely. This one seems to be of better quality that should last significantly longer. So far so good.

Based on other reviews I checked all the welds and they are solid. I don't like the way that the handles attach using little screws. I tightened them down with the included hex wrench which stripped. The screw heads were fine so a used my own hex wrench. Other than that, the grate is exactly as advertised. An affordable and super durable replacement grill for my ancient Weber kettle.

TL;DR - this product has problems. It's junk. Don't buy it. You've been warned.I had high hopes. The first one had a problem with the screws that hold on the handles. Two of the screws were so tight it was as if they had been pre-inserted in the grommets, prior to welding the grommets on to the grate, and simply would not come out, as if the screws had actually been welded in. That one went back. The second one had no problems with the screws. However, there were bad welds on the main grate and the insert, and pieces of the grate had become disconnected. Strike two. There will be no third strike.Not only did the two grates I received have problems, but they just seemed pretty flimsy compared to the original Weber Gourmet grate (if it weren't plated steel, I'd just buy that one again). Looking at the other reviews, it appears I'm not the only one to have problems with this item. Don't waste your time like I did.

I'm quite pleased with this stainless steel grill grate. I confirmed it's truly stainless steel (non-magnetic) and it's a good heavy weight that cleans up well. The hinged doors are handy for adding additional charcoal, although I don't have any need for the removable center panel, and not even sure what it's for. The lift handles have to be attached with screws, and they're small so be careful when assembling that when you drop a screw, you can find it again. Screws and an allen wrench are included. I expect this will last a good long time.

I had to replace my weber grill grate because I ruined it using a vortex to cook chicken wings and quarters. Using the vortex created too much heat for the grate to handle and burned off the coating of the grate and it rusted out over the winter. So I wanted a grate with a removable center so that wouldn't happen again. So when I saw this grate on amazon I took a chance and bought it. And it was a good purchase.Some people said it sagged, but I have had no issues. I normally smoke side ribs and do two racks at a time with no sagging at all. Its solid.The ONLY negative I have is the way the handles are connected to the grate. You attach them to the grate with two screws (included) But, the way the handles are designed causes the grate to snag on the grate supports inside the grill. So when you spin your grate while smoking, they fetch up on the grate supports. (see picture) Thats the only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 overall. But definitely a good buy overall. And would purchase again.

One of the best products I have purchased for my Weber Grill in a long time. I got so sick of the constant rust that other items had or how flimsy and thin gauged everything was. I took the chance and paid more for this stainless steel and I am happy to report that after a couple months it had shown to be a positive purchase.This item is well worth the price and the quality is right up there with higher priced products.. and the flavors it helps give are fastanstic. Unlike the flavor that a rusted out grate gives you. My thanks to the maker and my thanks to the seller.

It will serve it's purpose for a season. But it arrived with a coulpe of the tines welds broken.
