I could easily see ahead of me at night and no one is going to not notice the flashing lights, day or night. My commute to work is less than a mile , so it's silly not to ride on nice days. But even with that short distance, I've still had a couple of close calls with people who clearly didn't see me (and a couple of yahoos that seemed to go around me like they were on a ski slalom course). This has been a great safety addition to my bike and will extend my riding later into the fall when it gets darker, earlier.

Headlight began malfunctioning(randomly changing modes, all 4 battery indicator lights stay lit all the time) after it took on water from snow that melted on it during a ride. After drying the unit out it appears to be working mostly as intended but all 4 battery indicator lights stay on all the time(while on, while off, while charging regardless) regardless of battery charge level. Left feedback and recieved no response. The tail light unit and remote for it seem to work well and handle the snow better than the headlight.Update: 6 months after purchasing the headlight stopped working. Disassembled the headlight unit to find large amounts of corrosion on the printed circuit board which were not present after drying the light out after the snow incident which means a thick fog is enough for moisture intrusion since I haven't had it out in the snow or rain since the first incident. Cleaned the board and found a severely corroded test pad in the middle of a trace line on the edge of the board. Tested the trace line for continuity, found none. Ran a magnet wire jumper, bypassing the broken trace, and now it works again. It's been a journey with this headlight and it's lack of water resistance but I hate returning stuff so I'll just keep Frankensteining it when it dies. I will keep you all posted. On the plus side, the tail light has been flawless.

I live in Austin TX, and we famously have very few streetlights. We have the "safety lights", or maybe “jack the ripper lights” if you believe the myth, so our neighborhoods, parks, suburbs are notoriously dark. Traffic has increased 10-fold in the last few years, so even residential streets have become busy.You get lights and hardware to place a powerful light on your handlebars and another super functional bright light for your seat post. You can see where you are going, easily, and be seen by anyone coming from behind.Having front and rear lights like this on my bike makes me feel so much safer.And here is the crazy part of this; included with this system is a button that has right and left turn signals, bike horn, braking light and more. Once you remember you are operating an almost inspectable, motorcycle-like lights platform, it is really fun. This function helps not only with car traffic notification, but when riding in a group, love to see braking lights and turn signals – really helps in a crowd.I would classify these lights as safety and/or training lights. If you compete in events such as outdoor challenges that start at 04:00 or around then in the darkness, I would evaluate this light system prior to the event. These lights are ample and somewhat heavy, but totally effective.

Before installing the taillight, I synced it with the remote control (WL10C) which wasn’t too complicated after reading the directions. I was expecting the “BEEP” sound after pairing, but I was not expecting it to be so deafening. Same goes for the electric bell button, which I don’t anticipate using often for that very reason. The taillight installation was simple and took less than 5 minutes. The communication between the remote control and taillight is impressive with little to no lag on the turning signals. What was also a nice surprise was the automatic break light indicator. That detail must have gone over my head, but my cycling friend pointed that out to me on one our rounds in the city. Similarly, the headlight install was just as easy, but I had to troubleshoot one component which were inner silicone rings. I received two inner silicone rings of different sized thickness; I assume for different handlebar diameters. Neither of the two rings fit around my handlebar by itself perfectly. It was either too big or too loose, so I had to break both rings in half and used one of each size. Incorporating this method allowed the bracket with screws to be tight enough to place around the handlebar. Headlight came with extra nuts and bolts. Overall, the lights are very bright, and I do not doubt that I will go unnoticed by drivers on days with low visibility.

I didn't need a tail light, as I just got a seat with the tail light built in, but I was looking for a head light and this is what I found, it's a set. This tail light will just be mounted right below the seat so it'll be fine. What really warrants a thumbs up for this set and is not really talked much about, is the anti theft device that's included. If my friend would've had one of those to start with we wouldn't be building her a new bike. Who ever stole the other one just walked up and took it from her back steps which are adjoined to my front, and none of us heard a sound. Rest assured, that'll never happen again. According to the manual if anyone, or I guess anything, jars the bike after the alarms been activated, the light will flash and an alarm will sound until signaled to stop from the remote. I'm excited about that feature. It all feels and so far seems to be well put together, all in working order too, and fairly easy to install. So thumbs up!

Received my item and plugged it in overnight to charge. When I went to turn it on in the morning it came on for about 5 seconds and turned off. Pressing the power only initiates a flash of light. I plugged it back in and it shows “charging from empty” (the 4 LEDs light up in sequence as if it is charging) but, that status never changes most devices make the lights turn solid as the battery fills it’s charge, after almost an hour, all the lights were still flashing in the same sequence and the light would not come on. Taillight seems to work, but randomly makes the loud buzzer when touched. Not sure if this is the alarm “feature” but I did not activate it. It is doing it on its own. At 4am when I am getting ready to head to work that is an unacceptable sound when not provoked. My family did not appreciate it! Maybe I got a bad unit and am requesting a new one, but it’s starting to become a pain staking process at the moment.
