Went from a 30 psi reading at hot idle to 42 psi at hot idle. Yep, they can go bad. Watch for fluctuating needles and low psi.

I purchased this oil pressure switch for my 1995 Impala SS that I'm getting back on the road. The oil pressure gauge in the dash was pegged out as high as it would go any time the engine was running. This oil pressure switch was longer than the one I took off the car but it fit and now my oil pressure gauge is reading correctly. So far it is working great.

I had to use a rotary cut off saw to get the old one out. It was longer and 30mm nut at base, the sensor socket I bought to replace it with only fit the new sensor. Oh well, it was the one I didnt want damaged anyway....
