I managed to put a small cut in the neck strap on my Opticron 8x30 binocular, bought this as a replacement, turned out to be absolutely identical to the strap that came with the binocular when bought new.

Frankly, I was quite disappointed with this strap. I bought it because I have a pair of Opticron binoculars and I had bought a strap for it from Opticron some years ago. The old one was much better.For a start, this fiddly thing of having extra buckles means that you end up with a short bit of cord to play with around the 'business ends' of the strap. In order for there to be enough strap to include the rain-guard, you either have to have the strap end very close to the buckle - or you have to have it so tight that you cannot open the rain-guard in such a way that it doesn't get in the way when you are using your bins.Also, the strap itself is miles too long - who wants their bins dangling around their ctrotch? Of course you can cut off the excess strap, which I did - about 24 inches - which is a bit of a waste. But then you run into another problem: the bit that's left is curly and pokes you in the eye when you raise your bins to your eyes. This is very annoying and the only way I could solve it was to use some sticky tape to hold the end of the strap in the right position.It's a classic example of where the 'improvements' made to a perfectly serviceable item have made it considerably less appealing.Just for balance, I would say that the strap is reasonably strong and should provide some years of use - if I don't throw it away in the meantime.

Totally useless. Can not be adjusted for larger waist sizes. Off to Goodwill

Stört der Tragegurt, dann nichts wie weg damit. Einfach die Klemmen lösen und schon fühlt man sich freier, eine gute Idee. Der Tragegurt ist nicht unbedingt hochwertig aber nicht steif, somit ist das Fernglas leicht zu verstauen.MfG. win-wien

It took me a while to search through Amazon for a lanyard with just a loop attachment instead of the loop & clip that most of them have. This is the only one of its kind on Amazon and so I ordered one. Unbelievably quick delivery.This has a nice thick strap so it feels really comfortable to wear, and a sturdy plastic neck-fastening clip and plenty of length adjustment too. Very happy with purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a lanyard for binoculors or cameras with just a single attachment option.
