Installation:
1.Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord.
2.Let the projector cool for at least an hour. The lamp is extremely hot immediately after use.
3.Loosen the lamp cover screw. Then slide the lamp cover off.
4.Loosen the two screws holding the lamp in place.
5.Hold the lamp as shown and pull it straight out.
6.Gently insert the new lamp. Then tighten its screws.
7.Replace the lamp cover, then tighten its screw.
Notes:
1.To avoid burns,allow the projector to cool for at least 60 minutes before replacing the lamp.

My optoma hd26 bulb popped the other day so I ordered this thinking it would be a plug and play easy swap. I was wrong, the new bulb had a different size cage/protector whatever you want to call it. Had to perform surgery and swap the new with the old one. Easy enough but wasn't expecting to have to do it. Anyways new bulb works fine so far. OEM one lasted 8 years, hopefully this one does as well.

Disclaimer- I'm always a bit wary of writing a review for an electronic replacement part right after having installed it as I've had items fail just after writing a review- that having been said this was a replacement lamp for an Optoma HD141X- it was easy to install- a small screwdriver to help was included and the lamps ordering site had a helpful illustrated instruction. The picture looks good- so...so far, so good.
