The truth of the matter is that it’s not hard to put up. It’s not hard to fasten and it’s not hard to level… if you know what you’re doing.And if you don’t know what you’re doing, you shouldn’t be installing trim.Do not purchase orac poly-trim if:- You don’t own or have access to & know how to proficiently operate a miter saw, 15-18 gauge finish nailer and protractor.- have never trimmed out a room that isn’t a perfect square.- the room you’re considering use in has bowed Sheetrock on the ceiling/wallsThis is not the peel & Stick trash you are used to. It takes time, patience and experience. Orac should be used by experienced DIYers or contractors as a mechanism to save on project materials.As a product it is unmatched by any synthetic trim. It’s made in Belgium with precision and weighs next to nothing yet somehow holds up to gas powered trim nailers. Once caulked and painted, it’s next to impossible to distinguish from real wood.But, despite its similarity in appearance to cheap rubber garbage, it’s installations requires the experience, precision & tools that real wood does.If you’re still on the fence about whether or not to install it yourself, ask yourself if you would take on the project with real wooden trim. If you wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that, then don’t. Buy the material and hire a professional to do it.
