I was worried about this a bit because of other reviews mostly complaining about some part of the tubing blowing out and/or severely leaking. We installed these in two different barns by hooking two units together in each barn and attached them to the rafters of the barn. We've been running them for 2 months now, so still need to see how well they work long-term, but they have been in use most days during this two month stretch. I think the secret is that you barely want to turn the faucet on that it is connected to - you just want a trickle of water. Our livestock love them during these hot 90 degree Ohio days. Turn them on in the morning during chores and turn them off at night during chores. It is enough mist to cool the area probably by 15 degrees (at least it feels that way). You can feel the mist if you walk through it, but it doesn't really get you wet. It does create some puddling over the entire day on a concrete floor, but it doesn't seem to be using very much water at all. Well worth the money to keep a bunch of livestock more comfortable, and the flies really don't bug them either when the mist is on.

Pros:Simple to install. All nozzles worked.Noticeably cooler on patio after just a few minutes. Also added 10ft extension which worked great.Long lead hose to hose/faucet outlet allows for more mounting options.Cons:Nozzles direction hard to adjust (see below)Some leakage around the t-jointsame (see below)installed using clips on two umbrellas. Since the t-joints are just slide on they point in all different directions. Adjusting one causes the next one to move. Helps if you have a person to help hold hoses in place. Also I noticed some leaks from some of the t-joints. Not much just a drop ever 5-10 secs.Overall I think it is a pretty decent system.

Received the product quickly which was great! We live in Tucson, AZ and have been having 105+ deg days. We were throwing a party and wanted to make sure our guests would be comfortable. It was easy to install and we also purchased the hard water attachment. We turned it on and as others have mentioned the mist was very light and carried away with a slight breeze. We decided we needed to move it to be inside the patio overhang rather than outside to avoid the wind carry, so we took it off and remounted inside the wood overhang. That seemed to help a lot. Also you need to point all the water sprayers at a 95 deg angle. All in all it worked for our party and our guests were happy.

Mist system works fine but we are challenged with not being able to secure the nozzles in one place due to metal flashing on the house. It can be very windy were we live and when the wind blows the mist just blows up in the air. Fixed length limits flexibility as to where and how many you can use. The non-misting portion of the system is not long enough to go from the hose bib to the eves so you end up misting the side of the house.

I bought this for our patio as an extention to the one I bought a year earlier. We love to sit outside and still get the effect of an air conditioner. It gets very hot here and the mist is very welcome.

Yes, yes it is. And it comes with a bunch of nail grommets to attach it to things. And there's a hose bib that lets you connect it to your water source. Once you aim the nozzles, though, mist everywhere. Like crazy mist. Like that bad movie kinds of mist. Think, "oh hey, dont they have those mist tents at festivals and concerts?" Yeah. They totally do. Now you can too.I got the base kit, and the extension kit so I could double my misting pleasure. I rigged the whole thing up to guide wires strung from my upper deck, across my backyard, to my back fence. On the 4th of july, my whole backyard was a Mist Tent, a wet t-shirt contest, and a good 20 degrees cooler than the rest of my sweltering neighborhood. So, if you like all of those things, and cant afford to air condition the outside world, this is a simple and effective solution for the aforementioned.

I bought this extension for the Orbit 30060 Outdoor misting system (along with the calcium filter as we have super hard water here in the central valley of CA) and was pleasantly surprised and pleased after reading mixed reviews. I've had it for a couple of month and it's still going strong. As I type (in 108 degree heat) it absolutely makes a big difference. For the price and ease of setup I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to beat the heat, but WARNING: If it is at all windy on hot days where you live this becomes next to useless as the mist coming off is so fine it simply blows away. Otherwise it's awesome and I haven't had any problems with it after 2 months of use.

Easy to screw onto the original main cooling set. I bought three of these to add to the basic first one for a total of 40 feet along my back patio. They work great and easy to assemble. I added an in-line water filter you can buy for $13 to filter out the calcium so the mister heads won't clog up so fast. Here in Las Vegas the water is really full of calcium and clogs things fast without a filter or water softener. And since the house water softener doesn't include the hose outputs, the little in-line hose filter is highly needed. All hooked up (main pack and 3 of these extensions) this misting system covers my 30 foot patio perfectly. Feels and looks great.

To start with I bought a metal awning that already had a 20' mister system on it. But I found that it was just a little short for what I needed. I saw this and thought, what a perfect add on. It shipped fast and was exactly what they said it would be. Now it does NOT come with a connector so that you can just add it to your existing system when you get it. You will need to get one from the hardware store. I bought the one that just slips on and has little rubber O rings inside it. After that I had it up in no time and adjusted the misters to the right angle and bam, it was done. Now when it hits 120 hear in AZ I won't roast just going out on the porch. Just a little note. If you need to adjust the angle of the misters then you just have to hold the hose and give a good twist on the mister casing. They are shrink fit on, but not glued. And no they don't leak afterwords. Happy cooling
