Works fine, doesn't leak. Used a little pipe tape to ensure there is no leak at the connections. Perfect for reversing the connections on two hoses to flush out an a/c unit with a hose connection inlet.

The metal construction gives a more solid and less leaky connection than the plastic one it replaced. It’s worth the price difference.

I installed on two hoses I wanted to connect and turned the water on. It lasted for about 30 seconds before the two pieces of the fitting became separated. Examining the fitting the two halves were just pressed together with no flange to keep them from separating. I pressed them back together in my vise and got another 30 seconds use. Waste of money.

I just needed this temporarily and it worked as desired. The two sides tightened up and did not leak. It was easy to tighten up the one side on the fixed pipe and have the swivel-ability to easily tighten up on on the hose end. It seems fairly light weight and may not hold up long term, but it’s cost effective and been fine for my needs. I guess if I need to use it regularly taking it on/off frequently, then a more robust version might be worth spending more. But I’m not sure spending more actually gets anything better. Anyway, I’m happy with it.

Uses U.S. Garden Hose Thread (GHT) so not suitable for use in UK where garden hose threads are usually BSP threads.
