The old cable on my mower froze up so the mower wouldn't start and the plastic bracket that holds the cable pulled off the handle. This cable was about six inches longer than the original for my Murray 22 inch high wheel push mower but caused no problems. It is a perfect replacement and everything snaps into place. I did remove the flywheel cover, three screws, to make it easier to access the cable end. Took about ten minutes to make the switch. Used a pair of channel locks to snap the bracket onto the handle of the mower.

The part wasn't the right replacement part to fit my machine(my fault for not ordering correctly) ... I was able to make it work by cutting off the long plastic pin that is supposed to hold the clip stationary. Works great.

perfect fit for the "dirt eater " brand ,too bad I wasted money at home depot and lows on their standard cable. So I am so happy about this product which very easy to install.

Cable was just the right size and looks like it is more heavy duty than the factory cable.
