Seemed to be fairly accurate but won't alarm until temperature limits have exceeded 10 minutes. Very easy to accidentally trunk the alarm off and the unit died after 4 months.

It's been working for quite a while now in my home fridge and freezer using nimh batteries (which they don't recommend but seem to work fine).the sensor does tend to get lost in the freezer so i have to find a placement mechanism, perhaps some velcro on a side wall. I plan to use it in my rv's absorbsion fridge/freezer but in the mean time does double duty at home.

Product works as advertised. I am monitoring freezer in an Arizona garage in 115-130 degree temps to warn me if freezer fails. Set up was fairly easy and was able to set max/min temps easily to monitor inside freezer temps. My sensor in the outdoor freezer is approximately 20 yards from monitor and the sensor in my indoor freezer is also about 20 yards away from monitor. Both are visible and temps are displayed perfectly on the monitor. It does take about 30 min for the sensors to settle from room temp to the freezer temp, so it may alarm initially until MAX temp is under alarm value. I suggest you set sensor minimum temp (in a freezer) to -8 degrees to start to avoid Minimal alarm.

This item took almost 3 months to arrive. One of the two sensors doesn't work. The other seems to work fine. I can't return it as there is a 30 day return policy on Amazon from the time of the order, so I was outside of the return window well before I received the item.Update: seller replaced the non working unit. After 2 weeks it is working perfectly. It already saved me from losing a freezer full of food in my garage that wasn’t cooling properly (needed to be defrosted).

This product comes with 2 sensors and a main display that also tracks ambient temperature around it. I bought this a little over a month ago because our garage GFCI outlets seem to have a mind of their own. I set the temperature to alarm if it went above 18 degrees farenheit and placed the sensor in the basket near the top. Last night, at 2am, the alarm went off. Luckily someone was still awake and downstairs. I went down, reset the outlet, and everything stayed frozen! Worth every penny. Obviously I don't know what would've happened if no one heard the alarm. I took a star off because programming is not intuitive. When I was half asleep I did something that caused it to stop reading the sensor, and I don't know where to find the instructions.

Tried another model that did not work at all. This one does. Connects to the sensors easily and the readings are off a degree or two but they work. I tested by getting a couple of analogue sensors to compare against. Temperature range Alarm settings easy to set.One thing I learned is that the freezer has auto defrost and so the high range has to be set to 20 degrees above zero for this daily activity.

I put the 2 sensors in my kitchen freezer drawer and my garage chest freezer. The signal has no problem reaching through the garage wall into the kitchen for viewing on the screen. I love the ability to get alerted if the freezer warms up as I have had a compressor go out on the chest freezer and spoil food in the past. This gives me peace of mind to catch it early enough to save the food.

The sensors never connected. Do not buy. Instructions do not make sense and the devices never connected to each other. I will be returning
