Ordered silver conversion quill stem, ORIGIN 8, came in mail today, wrapped in plastic, no labels, no signs of packaging saying its origin 8 part! It is low quality made, on the quill there is only stamped Thomason 95a, no sign of any sizing diameter etc...its also casted, not machined as in picture seller provided in this listing.Bevare of buying this cheap knock off Origin 8 bike parts. Does it fit , yeap it does that is why i rated with 1 star. Worth 1/3 of price i paid for it.

Very well machined and finished. I bought this one because there aren’t many options for 1 1/8” threaded quill adapters. I have zero complaints. It works and it transformed my bike by allowing me to run some cool bars and stem that I had sitting around!

It worked excellent for my kids 24 inch bike from Walmart I upgraded it with a better stem and handlebar.

Had to modify to work, needed to complete project. 3rd image shows item with insert, insert not included. 1st and 2nd image appear to have insert placed on product. Product received was ONLY top item in 3rd picture. Have used Origin8 for many applications, first problem ever encountered with product and advertisement

Just the thing for modernizing or updating your old quill assembly. Just unscrew the old quill, remove handlebars, screw in the adapter, bolt on a new stem and reattach your handlebars. One word of caution before ordering: Measure the head tube carefully before ordering. Some are 1" and others are 1 1/8." Obviously, a 1" adapter will rattle around in a 1 1/8" opening and will never tighten properly.
