I could only install 1/5 of the chainring bolts on my crank. None of the other bolt holes lined up, even when the chainring bolts were only loosely installed. My crank is definitely 144bcd so I don't know how the holes on the chainring could be so far off. Seems like I got sent a poorly machined chainring. Pics show how far off some of the chainring holes are, but it's a bit hard to tell. The hole in the chainring farthest from the only bolt I could install is off by 1-1.5mm. I have bought many Origin8 products in the past and have been satisfied but this was a disappointment, to say the least.

using this with a 17t cog for commuting.the ring is round, light weight, and it looks cool with the cut outssilver gives my bike some bling

although i don't like the aesthetics, it performs as it should. they use the 6061 variety of aluminum, as opposed to the stronger 7075 48 tooth ring it replaced. hence, the extra material i think makes it look a bit ugly.i'll get over it.
