This telescope case has a thick, padded divider down the middle, which keeps the telescope away from the tripod very nicely. This feature is crucial.The telescope's section in this case has two very long, velcro straps which hold the telescope firmly in the case.The tripod's section in this case also has several velcro straps, including a separate set of straps for securing the counterweight.Please note that, depending on the model of your telescope, you will probably need to disassemble the telescope to at least this extent to get the telescope into the case:-- Remove the telescope from its mounting rings. On my mount, I can leave the mounting rings attached to the tripod but I did need to remove the telescope from the rings.-- Remove the counterweight from the tripod mount.-- Remove the extension adjustment knobs if you have them.This disassembly leaves you with four separate items to put into the case. The case is specifically made to store these separate items! It is really well padded and should keep your telescope in good shape.

Arrived on time and as expected. Glad I ordered a size slightly larger than I needed. Fits my telescope, tripod, and all the gear nicely. Seems sturdy and well made.

It works, and carries my Celestron 102SLT and the tripod and mount, with a bit of extra room for things like the tripod tray and anti-vibration pads. But really, it's a duffel bag with a piece of foam in the middle. Does not really justify the cost, and it certainly isn't "padded" for anything more than sitting in the trunk of the car. I'll keep it, because it works for carrying the scope to close-by locations, so it's useful enough that I won't spend the time returning it or looking for something else. So, OK product, but certainly not great.

I purchased this case for my wife's Explore Scientific 127 achromatic refractor and its accompanying MAZ01 alt-az mount and tripod. Everything fits quite snugly but I'm not 100% sure the tripod won't ding the scope during transport. There is a padded divider between the two but it just isn't quite thick enough for me to feel comfortable about transporting both in the same bag. Maybe with a slightly smaller scope or an extra towel for protection.Great bag, Orion!

I was a little confused while reading reviews deciding if the bag would be an appropriate fit for the Celestron 90 EQ telescope that I had. Indeed it is. There were a couple of people that said the bag ran big, however it was just as described about 43" long. The bag has two sections inside separated by foam that is attached to the bottom. On one side there are a couple of velcro straps that are designed to go around your telescope to help keep it in place. The telescope fits fine along with the tripod, the EQ mount and the weights, and a small box for the eye pieces. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Taking into account that the case is about 30% the price of the telescope I'm not too pleased. Only the separator between tripod and OTA is sufficiently padded. I still have to use bubble wrap for the OTA to make sure that it is protected. There is no pocket or pouch for accessories and so a shopping bag is used for tray, nuts and bolts and Finder. Instructions are generic and don't just apply to this specific case. I had some problem understanding which half is for the tripod and which is for OTA. Overall disappointing purchase and a rare miss for Orion who make high quality products.

This case fits my Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ perfectly. It's not too big and is a nice fit.I can easily fit the following in the case.1.) Telescope2.) Tripod with equatorial mount and motor drive3.) Small box that has eyepieces and filtersOverall I'm very pleased with this case. It has velcro to secure everything into place and nothing slides around.

I found this carry case to be just the right size for my Orion Versago III Altazimuth mount and Orion 120mm Refractor Telescope (with its own carry Case for extra protection). It is sturdy, well made, and confidence inspiring at being right for the job of protecting my equipment.
