Sounds great, strings were in the wrong place which made for interesting tuning at first. I l just moved them to the right place and alls good.

Lovely little instrument. I got one to approximate a Mexican jarana, and it sounds similar. Looks good, sounds good. The only qualm I have is there’s no way to attach a strap - you could tie one to the headstock with a string, but there’s nothing on the other side of the body to attach it to. I’m considering drilling a hole to screw something in, but I really don’t want to mess with the instrument… Luckily it’s light enough that it’s not so difficult to hold and play without a strap. But still, would like the option. One other thing to be aware of, since this is an 8-string the headstock is longer than a typical 4-string tenor. So a typical tenor ukulele case/gig bag might not fit! The gig bag I already had doesn’t quite fit, the headstock juts out a bit. Totally understandable since this is an 8-string, but just be aware.Overall great instrument and I’m super happy I bought it.

Bridge needs a redesign. Although appealing in appearance the design leaves the material very thin where the strings are attached. If I were writing this review a month ago, I wouldn't find much to complain about for a Ukulele of this price range. I've owned this beautifully sounding ukulele since April '23. Although, not played daily it is, or rather was, played weekly. Once the strings settled it stayed in tune very well. It did take several weeks for the strings to finally settle. The build quality is fine otherwise. The fret board is crafted well and the frets are even and flat with a small amount of edge sharpness is present. I think Washburn/Oscar Schmidt would do well by increasing the quality of the tuners, even if that raised the price point. Mine shipped with one tuner unusable. Being an amateur luthier, it was an easy fix for me with a pair of pliers. Again, I considered the price point of the uke and didn't bother with reporting it until now.I have written the original seller, and no response was received. I sent an email to Oscar Schmidt too, haven't heard a peep. Overall, it's a good ukulele for the price point. Maybe I just drew the short straw and the bridge was weak in structure.

This uke has a great, unique sound, but is better suited for intermediate to advanced players with good playing form. Why do I say this? Because bad finger position in your chords cause a lot of buzzing. With eight strings, it also makes finger strength a more important. The uke itself is solidly constructed, but not the best I've seen for the price. The tuning pegs were a little loose and had to be adjusted to prevent strings going out of tune after one song, and the fret ribs protrude just enough to shred your fingers if you're not careful when you slide up and down the fret board. The sound is fuller, but a little tinny. I may change the strings out to see if that is the cause.Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase but I probably would not purchase another one of these models.

This is a beautiful uke, and it would've stayed here with me, but the metal frets are not shaved down along the edges of the neck and one can cut themselves on them. I returned the first for this reason, only to get the same thing when I reordered. Apparently, they are all this way? I had to return my second one too, and I will not try to buy this brand again. It's unfortunate that my first review and my mention to the manufacturer didn't change the outcome of my second order. This is not acceptable to send these out this way. They have to know it when they get ready to pack it up, that these are not right. But they send it anyway? Why?

You will not regret buying this instrument. It is well made and sounds fantastic. I haven't picked up my other ukuleles since purchasing this one, which I keep at my side at all times and even sleep with. Fabulous instrument.

Not bad for an 8 string Ukulele but not as good as the Baton Rouge 8 string which sounds great for a similar price.

Beautiful eight string ukulele that I thought came incredibly quickly - around 4-5 days. Took around a week or so to acclimatise the strings so that they stay in tune . I also bought a tenor uke hard case for the instrument separately and didn't realise it would be such a tight fit.. but fortunately it does fit (just) with some of the lining of the case pushed down by the headstock. Very easy action and beautiful tone.

It's nice. Very playable, clean tone, loud. I chose to tune the strings in unison for volume and resonance. I like it.
