I loved the protection it provides for the mouthpiece. I traveled to Turkey and I cannot begin to tell you how many times my mouthpiece would have been in the dirt when my backpack was taken off! I was VERY thankful for this cover.

For me this was a game changer. On long hikes the bite peice on the end of the rubber hose always tends to get squeezed unknowingly leading to a loss of water and wet clothes.I found this so practical I ordered one for my sons osprey water bladder.

The cover will not stay on the bite valve. It is has a very loose fit and just falls off. Actually, you are better off if it does fall off. It creates so much space around the bite valve that more dirt and dust collects around the valve like a bucket. I have read that there was an older cover design for the Osprey bite valve that does actually work so I will see if I can find one. Maybe the positive reviews are for that version?

Just take the bite valve off and this fits straight on and put the bite valve back with no interference. When you put the cover over the valve, you do need to 'click' it into place - I spent the first day with it flapping around and not staying over the valve so thought it was a waste of money. Seems well made, I paid around £12 which is a bit steep but if I put my pack down I don't want the valve touching anything on the ground, so it does do the job (once you learn to 'click' it on lol)

I bought the Osprey branded valve cover to ensure it fit the valve in my hydration pack. I have two other bladders and have bought a previous version and they fit perfectly covering all of the silicone bite valve. This one only covers about half of the bite valve allowing dirt and debris to get onto the part that goes in your mouth which completely defeats the purpose. Luckily I was able to find the previous version on eBay and will be repurchasing that instead.

Tapa para la nueva válvula de succión Hydraulics que es más pequeña y compacta que la antigua válvula y se puede abrir el flujo de agua con una sola mano. La tapa encaja muy bien en la nueva válvula y queda completamente cerrada.No sirve para la antigua válvula que era más grande.

This is for the newer bite valves and while it covers the valve, it doesn’t fit nearly as tight as the old one and will occasionally come off while I’m riding/running. YMMV.

I'm an avid mountain biker and needed a bite valve cover for my two hydration packs. These are compatible with I assume any HydraPak made bladder and seal for those of you that don't know (HydraPak is the OEM for many companies Osprey, USWE, Evoc, etc.). This fit securely and have not worked/wiggled loose on tough/technical downhill rides, cross country, or going OtB. Overall I have no complaints, would recommend, and would buy again should the need arise (I currently own 2).

It's a bear to put on. Had to muscle the bladder straw to get this cap on but once in it's a great solution to keeping dirt out of your straw when you're setting your pack down on a longer hike
