The angles on some wrenches could have been offset slightly more for easier workability but with a little fiddling and 4 hands this did the job on a 2017 Sprinter. Can’t image doimy the job without these.

Almost everything you would need to deal with Mercedes and BMW fans. I have both so chose this instead of individual tool sets. One big thing is the lack of a tool specifically to depress the tensioner pulley. Still need a bar or something to get on that and slacken the drive belt tension. The tool kit has a thing that can do that but clearly it's not the intended purpose of that thing. Anyway, this is a quality tool, it fits well, nice weight, good packaging. You really cannot get the fan off a BMW or a Mercedes without this tool.

Arrived on time and in good condition. Look and feel to be of good quality. I will be using them to change a water pump on a 2002 Sprinter tomorrow. I will update afterwards. This tool worked perfectly to remove the fan from a Freightliner Sprinter allowing me to remove the shroud and fan to get to the water pump. Then long thin bar fits between the shroud and the radiator allowing you to remove the bolt holding the fan on while the large wrench goes on the other side of the fan to hold the unit still. One would not be able to get a standard socket wrench into this space.

Well made from heavy gauge stamped steel, nicely polished with hard bright chrome. The fan holding wrench (with the three holes for the bolts) worked great and was very solid.Unfortunately, the mouth of the wrench that was supposed to fit the nut wasn't the right size, running about 1mm too wide at the base and 3-4mm too wide at the mouth, causing nothing but a rounded fan nut and bleeding knuckles. It rolled off the fan nut with less than 20 ft-lbs of force. I ended up using the holding wrench to hold the nut and an extended air hammer to chisel the nut off because that was the thinnest thing I could get in there. Ill get the air hammer driven wrenches next time.

I wish the handles where a little bit longer on some of the wrenches so it takes less effort. Used it on a 528i to do the fan clutch.

OK, so I really like well made tools, and this set is just that. Deep chrome plating, neat lettering on all parts, excellent finish and a strong, snap-lock case that holds everything in place. I've used this both of our Mercedes (ML320 and E300D) and (bonus) it fits the Land Rover too! You will *not* be dissatisfied by this fan clutch tool kit.For those wondering about the investment (this set is about twice as expensive as a standard fan clutch tool -- see my review of the Sears model) on Mercedes and BMWs the generic tools don't always work. The Sears set fit the Land Rover reasonably well and would likely fit the ML320. But the E300 Diesel has a special locking hole in the fan pulley, and this set fits it perfectly (because it was made for it.) If you have a Mercedes, BMW or Land Rover consider this set: it's *exactly* what you need.
