I'm actually using this little lamp inside, so I can't comment on the outdoor qualities of it. However, I am really impressed with this little lamp. The touch control works well and it comes with a remote that I've had no issues with. The lamp even remembers the last setting when using the remote.It is fairly bright for its size, and you can change colors by repeatedly pushing the button on the bottom of the lamp (or the remote). It looks good and the base is sturdy.I wish the battery lasted a little bit longer, but given how everything works great and the lamp is well made, it isn't a deal breaker. Overall, I'm impressed with this lamp.

When I seen this I already knew I wanted something outside under my carport when I have a cigarette smoking area with a table and patio chairs. Usually I can turn on my porch light then walking under neither my carport a motion light will come on, but only stays on a minutes then shuts off. I can adjust the light, how tall or short. Being when outside, flying bugs can get on a person's nerves. It is easy to use because it comes with a remote that I bring outside when I know I will be sitting smoking or talking to a friend, and take the remote inside when I come in. As anyone may know depending on the light, can attract flying bugs. This remote and light will remember your last setting, so if you find the light mode you want whether standard white light or colored. I like the color personally because I can see the lamp shade even in the dark. Personally I can't say how waterproof it is because it hasn't rained where I lived yet, But doubt I'm going scuba diving with this and to try under running water in the sink is a waste when the pressure is different than rain water. What is nice is that it's rechargeable for if you have the power go out, along with flashlight I can have in a room and still see, and unlike a flashlight the only is beam directed this with light up the whole area. The size is just right because you can adjust the height, depending on when you use. For example if going camping and want a light to light up the whole inside, maybe take it outside or maybe take inside knowing if a heavy storm is coming, so being portable, big but yet small to move around is very convenient. It's not heavy yet strong enough to stand on its own with the base. Sometime I go on my back porch just to grab something out of the dryer, actually since there are more than one area to use these lights, have more than one maybe helpful to you. Everybody like convenance and yes as I said being rechargeable, no cords to have to plug in except if charging. Personally my "C" charger and I have a few because of multiple cell phone and a lot of things like my flashlight, or power bank, etc. I just use a spot on my counter, so I still have counter space to use for cooking.

The lamp came disassembled and even though inside an Amazon-branded shipping box, the lamp packaging was a little bit banged up on arrival. I admit, I was worried about the build quality inside the box. But I was quickly pleasantly surprised at how nice and sturdy this item is.The assembly was very easy to figure out without reading instructions, and it came together in about 1-2 minutes. The powder-coated metal base is surprisingly heavy and well-balanced. It should be able to keep the lamp from tipping over from an accidental bump from clumsy hands to gusty winds. The stem consists of two powder-coated tube-shaped pieces that are threaded correctly to align with the base, each other, and the lamp head.The lamp head is a sturdy plastic material that is one piece covering the top, sides, and outer edge of the underside. The electronics are smartly designed into the underside of the lamp head, keeping weather exposure to a minimum.The underside of the lamp head has a push-button to turn it on.It arrived charged up & ready to use. For the white light, there are 3 brightness levels that are what I would call semi-dim, average lighting, and bright lighting. Additional, pushing the button repeatedly causes the white light to change to your choice of an array of colors like red, blue, purple, green, etc. Long-pressing the same button turns the lamp off. The underside of the lamp head also has a rubber cover over the USB port to keep it dry from moisture and rain.The package also includes a USB cord to charge it when needed and a small remote (battery included) that cycles through all the on/off light level and color functions.We will use our lamp regularly on one of our patio side tables for cordless outdoor lighting. And it's nice to know that if we want a festive atmosphere, the light color can be changed literally with the push of a button. This light would also work well for Halloween trunk-or-treat events or even next to us sitting on the front steps as we give out Halloween candy for the neighborhood kids. It also will be good to have during a power outage. Overall, I'm very pleased with this cordless lamp.
